@dillonloomis I don’t understand y this is an issue. The CT is not designed for personal use. It’s a fleet car to use instead of a traditional taxi or Uber. Or ur own car. U don’t buy it to just drive urself around. Will u have induction charging at home? Course not.

Apparently the desire for Tesla's Cybercab to have a charge port for Supercharging is quite controversial By the way, I'm not even referring to a cross country road trip, but even a little weekend getaway becomes complicated without widespread public inductive charging And listen I've covered for the company daily for nearly 5 years. I understand the Cybercab is not meant for road trips. There are other models for that. The best part is no part in the endless cost reduction game. A smaller battery pack is more efficient. I obviously get all of that and have literally been preaching it for years None of that changes the fact that this decision limits the desirability and versatility of the Cybercab a bit And btw, not everything I say is meant to be a reflection on Tesla the company or $TSLA. Some things are just from the consumer side of the equation...I am one of those as well Elon did say people will be able to buy this vehicle. If I can't Supercharge it, that reduces the likelihood I buy it and I'm probably not the only one. That's all I'm really trying to articulate here Where does everyone fall? Charge port on the Cybercab...yes or no?

@KevinMelnuk @Tesla No offense Kevin but you have a clear bias in ur perspective. The event was fun, we saw the RT & advancements to what Optimus can do. Rough timelines, costs & some features for both products. Neither on sale in the next 12 months so not surprised every detail wasn’t shared.

Sorry, but that was the worst event in @Tesla history. He didn’t say how many seats, why the doors, what’s inside screen wise for customers, cost to build, how many cameras, trunk space, show off the app? Zero details, zero actual timeline, I learned nothing today. I heard this same stuff 8 years ago. The cab did 1 minute and did worse than my 2018 Model 3. I don’t get it. They had two extra months to prepare for this. Nothing. Only good thing was Optimus dancing very well. Watched on @realMeetKevin livestream so some screenshots

@marc_benton I think as most have pointed out, the FS will soon no longer be available. They provided an ext and have given u a deadline to proceed. If u are unable to for whatever reason, the order will be cancelled. 9 months is more than fair for an ext. Not sure y u r complaining.

Just got a call from Tesla Reno and they are basically threatening to cancel my Cybertruck order since I haven’t “gone through the delivery steps, like entering my drivers license”. I explained that I am not in a position (and no, I’m not going to explain why on X) to buy a Foundation series right now but am still interested in a non Foundation at some point. If they cancel my order, I won’t be buying a non Foundation either. They will never get another dime from me and everyone will know what a shitty thing they pulled after telling me they would “hold it until I’m ready”. Are they that desperate for sales that they have to pressure someone to take delivery? Are Foundation series sales that bad now? I’ve heard nothing for 9 months, why the pressure NOW? It’s clear when you place the order, if you cancel, the $1000 is non refundable. Well, I’m not canceling the order. It’s your move @Tesla .

@elonmusk When will we get it in the EU? Paid for FSD & summon only works if I stand next to my car. Only useful for parking in narrow spaces atm. Also, can we please have the option to upgrade to the AMD MCU? The Atom is showing it's age at this point. Every update it gets slower.

@jchybow Let's be honest, most people associate HW3 with the Intel atom MCU. Which is obviously slow at this point. It isn't a ? of will it allow for FSD, it is how much confidence will we have in using it if the system it is attached is slow to load Spotify. How will it look in 2 years?

@wholemars An adapter could be made to solve any compatibility problems. Or they could offer a more powerful Atom powered system. I would bet >60% of owners would pay for an upgrade to the MCU. Most would prefer it done by Tesla vs a 3rd party option. Win win for customer and Tesla.

A hardware 4 retrofit option could improve the residual value of hardware 3 cars

@jedigoodman Luke Thomas is not the best. He has trashed the fighters and at one point said he went to the gym to lift instead of watching a card because it had no stars on it. Mind you, his job is to cover the fights. Horrible take. Ariel is more of a personality now, not a journalist IMO

@FutureAZA I did 60,000 km on my factory tires. I drive mostly in chill mode. Only in standard mode when I need the power. Granted, that wasn't the case the first few thousand km. I still had tread but ran over a nail and figured time for a new set. Regular rotations help too.

That's not quite how the physics works. Tires on ICE cars still employ the same friction to the road to slow down. EV tires don't wear faster due to regen, or even the weight. They only wear faster when you can't help but goose it on the regular.

@lauraxcivetta They are still in the tournament. Finding a way to win is part of being great. They didn't give up and kept trying to win. I find it so odd all the negativity. It's like people would be happier if they played magnificent and lose vs not their best and win! They won!

@daltonbrewer I do, have FSD but waiting to the EU to allow it to go live. We only get EAP and AP in Europe. They approved it's use earlier this year but Q4 is when I think we can finally use it! My only concern is will the Intel Atom system be sufficient?
