You’re unveiling a new era in a 4,500-person venue instead of making it feel like a statewide fan event (that won’t even be broadcast whatsoever) 2. The official team store is literally closed on reveal day and doesn’t reopen until Friday AND supposedly the new merch won’t even be available online until tomorrow either 3. The public teaser campaign was basically a patch, a date, and a few billboards. No real build-up, no real fan engagement 4. In 2018, the reveal was a Broadway spectacle and fans could buy jerseys that same night. In 2026, this feels less like a celebration and more like an invite-only corporate presentation How do you fumble the easiest branding layup this franchise has had in years? Fuentes is a very smart political theorist. Agree with Fuentes on 90% of his views. But he never even suggests civil disobedience or protesting. Not one single rightwing commenter ever mentions peaceful civil disobedience. This is one reason why I think most rightwing influencers are intelligence assets. They only offer voting or not voting. This trains their audience to learned helplessness under democratic process.
