I could speak for hours on how the front page carousel has lost value over time, if you’re interested. The very short version of the story is that the algorithm overtime has been tuned towards funneling new viewership from various sources to the top 1% of streams, and the front page carousel is no longer actually a site wide element, it is still heavily curated towards the viewership of whatever demographic or region You fit into. People have sent this for a long time and therefore completely scroll pass or ignore the front page carousel entirely. Only major activations like huge game tournaments or twitch events ever truly take over the homepage and display to everybody regardless of demographic or region. So in short, you were offered something that is almost worthless and confirmed it to be so.

Anyone know how front page of twitch works? I got offered to be featured on it with twitches new program of partnering creators from other platforms. Super exciting! So why is it that I was there for an hour with no new engagement. Mainly just confused.

@Zee2Han I never watch front page. I find new people through raids of people i already watch. Ive forgotten the front page exists.

@rosiebellmoo No. I mean I sat at 14 views the entire time which is my community. Lol. I got partner through the new program where they partner creators from other platforms. With that you get front page hour blocks to assist growth.

If you mean the numbers were there but no one new was really talking ..it's because it kinda works like an embed. People don't have to click into your stream to count. So maybe you get a few more people if there browsing homepage and choose to click but because twitch doesn't have new traffic coming in it's usually just looks nice numbers wise but not many new actually come in

@zacker150 It wasn't through the application. It was through the new program they have. It's a one hour slot. I saw it on the carousel. It just got zero engagement or views.
