He vivido 15 años fuera de España, 9 de ellos fuera de Europa (siempre con la intención de volver a mi país y eso hice). Fuera de Europa no se aplica la “prioridad nacional”, sino la “exclusividad nacional”. Nunca recibí ningún tipo de ayuda o prestación. Habría sido inconcebible que un extranjero, da igual lo que hubiese “aportado”, recibiese una ayuda en lugar de un nativo del país. Lo mismo se aplica a la sanidad; si quería estar allí, tenía que pagarme un seguro privado de mi bolsillo. Cuando tuve que ir a urgencias, me hicieron pagar después hasta el último céntimo. Si hubiese tenido una enfermedad grave, me habrían mandado de vuelta a España para que me trataran aquí. Fuera de la UE, es obligatorio demostrar medios económicos para poder pedir un visado y es imposible recibir un permiso de trabajo a menos que un empleador local demuestre que ese puesto no puede ser cubierto por ningún trabajador nacional; incluso en ese caso, se desincentiva la contratación de extranjeros cobrando al empleador un importe considerable anualmente por el visado. El visado, ya sea de trabajo o de estudiante, siempre es temporal y tiene que renovarse cada año. Cuando vivía en Turquía, el plazo para renovar el visado una vez se me pasó, por sólo 2 días; pese a estar allí como estudiante / tener pasaporte de la UE / haber demostrado medios económicos / hablar el idioma / tener estudios superiores / estar ya inscrito en la universidad allí y haber pagado la matrícula / tener ya un piso alquilado / etc., me denegaron la renovación, me dieron una semana para abandonar el país y me dijeron que si quería seguir estudiando allí, fuese a la embajada turca en mi país de origen y volviese a solicitar el visado allí. Y es lo que hice. Si no hubiese salido del país en el plazo indicado, la policía habría venido a buscarme, me habrían deportado en el primer avión y no me habrían permitido volver a entrar al país en al menos 5 años. Nunca me habrían dado facilidades para que me quedara en su país. Nunca me habrían dado incentivos económicos para hacerlo. Nunca me habrían dado un permiso de residencia solo por estar allí. Nunca me habrían concedido la nacionalidad de su país, da igual los años que hubiese pasado allí y da igual lo que hubiese “cotizado”. Todo esto es normal. Y es como funcionan las cosas en casi todos los países del mundo. La excepción somos nosotros y nuestras políticas sυicidas.
