@emmalgsutton In our experience refusal to attend after school detention resulted in internal exclusion and threat of fixed term exclusion. Amazing how quickly things spiral.

Detention meet trauma - a cautionary tale (aka a vicious circle that leads to expulsion etc) 1. Schools threatens detention if homework is not done 2. Child is scared of getting into trouble. 3. Child is very very scared about getting a detention
