@archaeobuild I thought there weren’t any dabbins left on the Scottish side of the Solway, but I was obviously wrong.

I have become rather fascinated with the mud buildings of the Cumbrian Solway Plain, known as clay dabbins. In 1910 there were c.1,300 known examples, but no more than 300 exist today.
