Voice AI is going to explode in 2026. Here’s what I’m seeing: 1. Dictation has completely changed how I work I go on walks where I dictate to Otter for 40min. I built an app this weekend while lifting weights. The productivity gain is real. 2. Phone booths everywhere I visited the offices of two large AI companies last week. They have phone booths everywhere. I watched someone walk into one, dictate, then walk right back out. That’s it. 3. Microphones at every desk I visited Wispr Flow’s headquarters in October (see pic). Every single employee had a $60 microphone on their desk and can whisper tasks all day long to AI. You cannot hear them even if you’re at the neighboring table. 4. OpenAI says typing is the bottleneck Alexander Embiricos, head of product for Codex, just went on the @lennysan podcast that the “current underappreciated limiting factor” to AGI-level productivity isn’t model capability, it’s human typing speed. We are literally being held back by our fingers.

So what next? I’m changing my approach completely. - No more chasing growth for the sake of growth. - No more random virality attempts. - No more vanity metrics. The new goal 🚀is simple: Find 100 power users who absolutely love Calorify and can’t imagine tracking without it. Everything else comes later.

The biggest realization for me: Great work can substitute networking but not the otherway. I wasn’t trying to meet anyone. I wasn’t selling anything. I just showed up with passion, clarity, and real numbers. And that alone opened doors I never expected to walk through.

A few weeks ago, I applied for a membership at SPC... nothing fancy, just wanted to be around more builders. But during the interview… something unexpected happened. They pulled in another partner. The conversation suddenly went way deeper. One thing led to another… And I somehow ended up in a room with Kush Mishra (ex-CPO of Noise). We discussed Caorify for 40 mins 🤯 A meeting I wasn’t even trying to get. (Thread 👇)

I wasn’t raising money. Didn’t even plan to. But they wanted to “explore things further”...understand what I had built with Calorify, why I cared so much, and how far I’d taken it. So the next day, I’m sitting across from Kush Mishra… explaining my product, my journey, my numbers. Surreal for someone who wasn’t pitching at all.
