You honestly do not even need to be a Peter Obi supporter to see how politically ridiculous this statement is. Anybody with a basic understanding of Nigerian politics knows that Kano is the absolute stronghold of Rabiu Kwankwaso and the Kwankwasiyya movement. To claim a crowd was 'borrowed' at Kwankwaso's own residence just shows a staggering lack of political awareness. Sowore needs to stop making everything about himself and actually study how grassroots politics works in the North.

Any 'assurance' coming from people who stormed a community, killed dozens, and dragged 416 innocent people into the bush is a lie from the depths of hell. They aren't 'assuring' us of their health; they are using these human beings as bargaining chips in their sick business deal. If they were actually 'healthy and safe,' they would be home with their families, not being paraded in a propaganda video. The government needs to move beyond 'vows' and actually bring these people home. A country where 416 citizens can be held like assets in a warehouse is a country that still has a very long path to greatness.

The law says no man should have an AK-47, but the reality on the ground says no man is safe. How can you arrest a man for trying to protect his life when the police he is supposed to call won't even pick up the phone? Or when they finally do, they ask for 'fuel money' before they move? IGP Disu, this is not the policing we want. It’s easy to arrest a man for self-defense, but it seems much harder to arrest the terrorists and bandits operating freely in our forests. If you want us to drop our weapons, show us that your men can actually respond to a distress call without a bribe.

When a community like Chibok which is already heavily militarized can still be stormed and a church burnt on Easter Eve, it shows that the current 'game plan' is failing. If we keep running to the US or waiting for international 'vows,' we are just waiting for the next holiday massacre. We need a government that protects every citizen at the grassroots, not just one that issues press releases after the fire has already burnt the church.

It’s the same story every time attackers operate for hours, and the response comes after the burials. We saw this in January and February, and now again on Easter. Why are these rural communities in the North still so vulnerable? If the security agencies can identify officers from a viral video in hours, why can't they respond to a massacre in real-time? We need to solve our own problems and hold our local security heads accountable for this silence. May the souls of the seven lost in Ariko rest in peace.

T+rrorists Reportedly Att@ck Kaduna Churches During Easter Service, K+ll 7, Abduct Several Worshippers T+rrorists reportedly struck Ariko community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, targeting two churches during Easter celebrations, leaving at least seven people d+ad and several others abducted. According to a report by Punch Newspaper, the affected churches are First ECWA Church and St. Augustine Catholic Church. Poor telecommunications coverage was said to have allowed the att@ckers to operate with little immediate response. The att@ckers reportedly came in large numbers, surrounded the area and began shooting sporadically at worshippers. Several people were k+lled, and many others were taken away into the bush. Residents added that the assailants operated for a prolonged period without resistance, raising concerns over the vulnerability of rural communities in Kaduna.

The irony is deep. While they talk about 'valuing human life over roads,' they are the first to accept 'infrastructural support' from the state for their camp grounds and cathedrals. 2027 is already decided because the lines between the pulpit and the party have been blurred by money, not by the members' opinions. If a pastor can’t speak truth to power because of his 'fancy' lifestyle, he’s not a leader; he’s a stakeholder in the status quo. Stop gaslighting the believers.

Many Pastors find it difficult to criticize politicians because many Christians openly support them — Pastor Iren Pastor Emmanuel Iren has called on Christians to align their political choices with their faith, warning that believers cannot pray for God’s kingdom while supporting poor leadership. Speaking on kingdom consciousness and civic responsibility, the pastor stressed that Christians must think beyond personal interests and adopt an institutional mindset rooted in godly values. In his words: “You’re praying kingdom come but you’re voting wick+d people. You see, what dowses our efficiencies, all of us think individually, instead of institutionally like God designed us to think. Think institutionally, some of those petty personal needs will disappear. So if you are thinking kingdom, it will influence your voting.” Pastor Iren noted that many pastors hesitate to address political issues because of the candidates some Christians openly support. “Do you know it’s hard for pastors to talk about those matters because you will see so-called Christians, the candidates they stand behind, and you’ll be wondering if there’s something wrong.” Emphasizing moral priorities, he argued that the value of human life should come before infrastructural development. “Because when you are thinking from a godly standpoint, there are some things that are a priority. Before good roads, before electricity, value for human life. We can no longer have a country where 100 people will d+e and we’ll move on.” He also warned that society is gradually becoming desensitized to tragedy and loss of life. “See, let me tell you something. It’s doing something to you. You are changing. You are changing. It’s a very powerful human part of your life. You want to be the kind of person that will just hear 300 people d+ed. Hey, yeah, you scroll. You are changing and you don’t even know. You are changing. You are changing.” The pastor concluded by urging believers to reflect on how their decisions and reactions shape both their faith expression and the future of society.

This is a misconception from the depths of hell. Pastors don't stay silent because they fear the congregation’s reaction; they stay silent because you don't bite the hand that feeds you. The bitter truth is that many of these politicians are the ones cutting the heavy checks and 'seeding' the ministries that fund their fancy lifestyles and private jets. It’s much easier to blame the members than to admit that your lifestyle is sponsored by the very corruption you should be criticizing. We see through the PR.

We used to say the church shouldn't be politicized, but when the hunger is real, the church becomes the ground where the government meets the people. God bless the APC for supporting this good work and ensuring that while others are talking, the people are actually being fed. If the opposition thinks they can win with just 'online content' while the ruling party is on the ground in the churches, they are in for a shock.

This is exactly the kind of leadership we need. Huge kudos to the Nigerian Police and the new IGP, Olatunji Disu, for standing on his word. When he took office, he promised accountability and a 'citizen-focused' force, and seeing these officers identified within hours of the video going viral shows he isn't just talking. This is how you build public trust by showing that nobody is above the law, not even those meant to enforce it. Well done.

It's easy to pledge support for a 'ticket' that doesn't officially exist. The bitter truth is that while Atiku is talking about backing winners, the ADC is currently fighting for its legal life against an INEC stalemate. You can't run a race on a platform that's being de-listed. This statement is a distraction from the structural rot in the opposition. If they can't even secure their own party's legal standing at home, no amount of 'unity' talk will matter when the 2027 whistle blows. Winners aren't made in radio interviews; they are made in the courts and at the units.

Honestly, it’s like nothing can ever satisfy us humans. When a politician stays in a failing party, we call them a 'sycophant' who doesn't care about their people. When they finally take a stand, resign, and sacrifice their position in the ruling party to protest the killing of their constituents, we call them a 'clown' who is just 'repositioning.' At this point, if Tinubu himself were to resign from the APC today to protest the system, people would still find a way to say he’s doing it for a hidden motive. We cry for change, but the moment a leader actually makes a bold move towards accountability, we are the first to pull them down with cynicism. If we can’t recognize a good move when we see one, then we truly aren't ready for the better leadership we claim to want.

This is exactly what public service should look like! A leader’s first loyalty must be to the people, not a political logo. If the party you are in cannot safeguard the lives of those who voted for you, then that party has lost its mandate. Senator Lamido is showing that 'stomach infrastructure' and party loyalty shouldn't come before the survival of his constituents. It’s a shame that in this part of the country, most politicians would rather remain silent in a failing system just to keep their seats. This is a rare act of integrity.

If you are in Nigeria and still dreaming that the United States is some 'saviour' that will come and fix our problems, look at what is happening today. They are revoking green cards and detaining people who have lived there for a decade just because of who their relatives are. If they can treat their own legal residents and people who contributed to their economy like disposable trash the moment a 'deal' goes sour, imagine what they will do to you who isn't even a citizen. This is a wake-up call. We need to stop running to the US for every small thing and learn to stand on our own.

I’ve always said it: ADC is just a party of online content creators, not a serious political movement. Instead of mobilizing the millions of angry Nigerians for a real protest to stop INEC’s shenanigans, they are busy hiring a 'ghost' firm in the US to talk to Trump. If you can’t lead a protest at home, how do you expect to lead a country? The bitter truth is APC is winning 2027 by a landslide because Nigerians only cry on X (Twitter) but aren't ready for the real work of change.

Mr. President, the symbolism is powerful and the vision is clear, but for the people of Jos and Sokoto, hope is hard to hold onto when lives are being lost daily. Nigerians are looking for the substance behind it. Hope is a luxury for those who feel safe. Right now, our communities need to see the killers caught and the abductions stopped. You cannot build a nation of 'infinity' potential on a foundation of funerals. Please, let the results speak louder than the cap.

I Brought the Infinity Symbol on My Caps to Break the Shackles of Viol%lence, Hopelessness and P+verty In Nigeria— President Tinubu President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained that the infinity symbol featured on the caps he wears represents a political commitment to ending vi%lence, p%verty, ignorance, and hopelessness in Nigeria. The President made the statement during his visit to Jos, Plateau State, following recent att@cks by gunmen that left several people d+ad and communities displaced. Addressing residents, political leaders, and security chiefs, Tinubu said the symbol signifies a collective resolve to overcome persistent national challenges. “Politically, I brought the symbol on this cap the infinity symbol to break the shackles of v%lence, the shackles of ignorance, the shackles of poverty, and the shackles of hopelessness. We must break it together,” the President said. He commended members of the armed forces and security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police Force, for their efforts in maintaining security, while urging them to intensify investigations and ensure those responsible for the k+llings are brought to justice. “You must unearth and find the k+llers,” Tinubu stated, acknowledging the presence of the Inspector-General of Police, the Chief of Army Staff, and the Minister of Defence during the visit. Reflecting on earlier political struggles and shared national aspirations, the President stressed that leadership must focus on progressive development and improving citizens’ standard of living. “Our promise then was progressive development and improved standards of living for our people not to bury lives, but to develop,” he said. Tinubu also announced plans to expand a federal committee to include the Plateau State Governor and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs to assess damages and provide relief for victims. “For the losses, we cannot replace a human being. But whatever we can do to give them minimum comfort, we will,” he added.

From the mass abductions last month to this week, the trajectory is clear: things are getting worse, not better. We see the official photos of security meetings in the capital, but on the ground the reality is gunfire and kidnapping. The government needs to wake up to the fact that their current approach is failing to protect the most vulnerable.
