@PyTorch I know that support for microcontrollers was briefly mentioned in the livestream, but does anyone know if the #RaspberryPi was specifically mentioned? Or maybe someone is there and has a chance to ask if there will be better support in 2.0?

It's great to see everyone at #PyTorchConference. We're loving the energy in the room as we say hello to old friends and meet new ones. Watch the livestream here: youtu.be/vbtGZL7IrAw

Two of the cubesats launched with #Artemis1 now have entries on JPL Horizons: -182, NEA Scout (spacecraft) -75, OMOTENASHI (spacecraft) Both have updates from Nov 16, 2022.

@elakdawalla Do you (or any of your followers) know if there's any place to get "live" updates for NEA Scout? I haven't been able to find anything, so far. Yes, "live" updates for a 2 year mission is a bit of a contradiction, but anything I could follow would be great.

@elakdawalla "And the status of a NASA CubeSat equipped with a giant solar sail and one other spacecraft are uncertain more than 24 hours after launch." Thank you for the update! But ☹️

@arsduo The suggestion I’ve heard the most is that organizations for which it matters would set up their own server and verify their own people. News organizations, educational/research orgs, NGOs, governments, etc. Not perfect, but it should work in a lot of cases

I wonder if or how you can mitigate this vector for abuse, since it grows directly from the network design. Individual servers can address abusive behavior in tweets, but how do you stop impersonation short of blocking servers that don't somehow verify identity?

Letting many people have the same handle on different servers is a legit design decision, but it's gotta have the side effect of making Mastodon much less useful to the authors, community leaders, journalists, institutions, cat labor leaders, etc whose presence was so impt here.

@tarynoneill You can change servers without losing your social network or history, so initial server choice doesn't matter a huge amount. This might be a good place to start if you haven't seen it already: joinmastodon.org Can't help with sanity question, though.

How are people choosing their server on Mastodon? Can anyone recommend a good overview blog post? Can sanity prevail? Happy Sunday 😽

@zachad @R_Emrys Is there a tweet or short post somewhere that explains this meaning of Dandelion Networks? Search for that term brings up a lot of unrelated stuff. OnTopic: 0.6

@zachad @R_Emrys Baby steps: an #ML model that has 2 inputs: a topic and a reply/tweet/toot. Outputs a score 0.0-1.0, completely off topic to completely on. Existing social media could add the score to the reply as a tag and the UI could have an option to hide anything below a threshold.

Forget this Twitter thing. I’m hoping for @R_Emrys dandelion network to be real someday.

@dejasu Is the yellow box about 20m across? So far I haven't seen any images with scalebars.

Dimorphos - the blue box shows the last full frame, the yellow box shows the size of the last partial frame (only about 10% of that frame was transmitted)

@dtmooreeditor Where does "do-gooder" fit in there, if at all? Having asked, I must admit I prefer Sheri Tepper's "doer-good".

@haya2e_jaxa Has there been a mining expert on any of the instrument selection committees or a PI on any of the instruments on any of the recent asteroid missions? Would you want different instruments if you were interested in prospecting and mining an asteroid vs basic science? @NASAGoddard

Do you have questions about asteroids Ryugu & Bennu? Or the hows & whys of analysing samples from space, what we might learn about planets, our Solar System, or the start of life itself? Reply to this post with your question, and our scientists from JAXA and NASA will answer!

@sergeykarayev @full_stack_dl I'm somewhere between options 4 and 5. I can't use it at work so I haven't had nearly as much time to learn how to use it as I'd like. And I do think it requires time and effort to learn how to get the best results. Prompt Engineer really isn't just a meme

@Love2Code I keep hoping I can get PyTorch installed on my Raspberry Pi. Next step is to install a 64bit version of the OS, see if that works any better.

What's the easiest option for deploying a trained PyTorch model to something self-contained that would run on a Raspberry Pi or equivalent?

@Rajid Our old Prius switches to gas any time you go over 30 miles per hour and any time you go up a hill. So bad gas is not likely. Newer hybrids may be different, especially serial hybrids

For those who own a Hybrid vehicle: What's the likelihood that gas in the tank of a hybrid could go bad before it's used, if the hybrid is used mostly on electric and thus never gets to using the gas? Is this a real issue?
