@adymitruk Even today, given a structured JSON Event Model, an LLM can suggest scenarios, write gherkin style tests and passing implementations. Our low code framework abstracts away all infrastructure already. The real gap is in AI aided facilitation of collaborative modeling sessions.

AI is just getting started. The giant holes in functionality are not there because of some LLM limitation. We have a huge gap between the tooling like IDEs and what the LLMs currently offer, let alone what they will offer in a year or 2. What if LLMs get replaced with something better?

Serverless functions are overrated. Too complex behind the scenes, too limited for real backends. For some isolated tasks, sure. For everything else: a beefy server/instance please.

We're doing something hilarious on an internal project. We're using React, but only on the server side with HTMX on the frontend. JSX is a pretty nice template language for generating static HTML, and then we just patch that into the page with a sprinkle of @htmx_org. Why not use React on the frontend? We don't want the complexity of managing partial state and GraphQL calls to fetch and modify data. Instead we render everything on the server, where we have all of the state easily accessible via database queries, as God intended. The result peforms faster than an SPA too, which is kind of funny. No virtual DOM diffing going on, no multi-megabyte JavaScript bundles to download and parse. Better still would be something like Go, but we have all our schema and models in TypeScript anyway, and being able to share code with our backend is really useful for this admin project.

@MattBishopL3 Been looking forward to this post ever since you announced it. Right on point! We are seeing the very same conceptual problems regularly, especially when multi entity projections are involved. Discussing aggregate boundaries wastes time and feels so 2015. Onwards and upwards!

Getting to the point that I think about exploring other options than aws-cdk, mostly only for a deployment speed up for ephemeral environments.

"The easiest way to explain #BioTechnology: Biology mimicking technology and technology mimicking biology. What they're getting to: How do we take technology and have it mimic biological lifeforms. So there's a convergence of it. Can the technology act autonomously as a biosynthetic organism on its own?" - @Kingston_Truth ... in a conversation with the wonderful @DrAnaMihalcea rumble.com/v46q6yr-truth-…

@_andreasgrimm @evolvable I was talking about you, not about this John guy, about whom I couldn't care less. You're the one spreading all the latest conspiracy bubble fads. You don't get to push away responsibility by saying you're just sharing "information". You choose to spread it, you want it to stick.

Now we're getting to the actual thing that makes you uncomfortable it seems. My recent posts in general, and if it is misinformation or not. Misinformation according to whom? I guess I'm just more For this one aspect of science, where it is all about the debate. I don't think it is good to shut down debate and to define just one official "truth", but to allow for an open debate and rely on people's common sense to make up their own mind and come to their own conclusions. So if you think that John is spreading misinformation, why not be precise about it and have a debate with him directly? I just want to give you the chance for having an open debate and to come to your own conclusions. So if you think John is not right with a particular thing that he mentioned, or that the whole study is fake in general, then why not post the link to the video on your own and express your thoughts and opinions on that individually?

@_andreasgrimm @evolvable You have chosen to share misinformation daily. Nobody is making you do it. You yourself select the content you share. You're not a messenger, you spread false information and this is 100% your responsibility. People will judge you by that and rightfully so.

@_andreasgrimm @evolvable You keep telling Graham to check sources you believe to be correct, yet you make no effort to check the information he provides or to acknowledge anything he says. You consider yourself a critical thinker, but you certainly don't come across as one. Quite the opposite.

@BenNadel Thanks for writing this book! I agree automated tests instill confidence, but mostly so we don't break other parts of the app we might not be aware of. Manually testing the current feature makes sense, manually testing the whole app whenever we ship something seems unfeasible.

I bootstrapped Stagetimer from €0 to over €10,000/month in Germany over 3 years. My country is known for tight regulation and strict tax laws. It discourages many solo founders from trying. That's why I distilled everything I learned into this guide. Importantly it talks about navigating German bureaucracy and handling taxes. If you've ever thought about launching a SaaS business in Germany, read this. 👇 lukashermann.dev/writing/bootst…

The worst take going around is the down-playing of large language models, machine learning and AI by the hyperbolic "it's a hype cycle like crypto was". Crypto is NOTHING compared to the quantum leap systems automation got in the last 6 months.

@TweetsOfSumit What are you trying to achieve with those rules? Have you considered and disregarded other, equally simple rule sets? Have you established your actual burn because 2000 kcal seems pretty low and arbitrary and it might be more than just a slight deficit for a reasonably active man

I’m trying to create rules that I can do forever without the need to avoid stuff I love and I want to keep it simple. So, 2 rules only: - stay in a slight caloric deficit (2000kcal/day budget) - 2g protein per kg of body weight per day Works good so far.

I’ve been tracking my kcal everyday for the last weeks to better understand the food I eat plus how much kcal I burn per day. Some surprises on the high/low end of the kcal count 🧵

@PeterHilton Hey youre into a lot of things I find interesting as well. If you wanna grab a coffee in Neukölln shoot me a DM. Oh, and you might like the old and beautiful term "lustwandeln" that has a very similar meaning as "flanieren".
