4/ 🤖 Step 2: Instagram requests selfie verification. The platform uses AI to verify identity through a selfie video. The goal is to confirm the person requesting access is the real owner.

3/ 🪪 Step 1: The attacker initiates account recovery. * Clicks “Forgot Password” * Claims the account was hacked * Uses a VPN matching the victim’s region Nothing unusual so far.

2/ 🎯 The targets weren’t random users. Multiple verified and high-profile accounts were reportedly compromised. If true, this highlights a growing security challenge: When AI becomes both the defender and the attack vector.
