@akarlin @liron He is Israeli. I think you would have to be in order to think it's acceptable to say such a thing and not be seen as a LHC racist nut job. Many cases of politically centrist secular Israelis saying stuff like this. The only American Jews who say that are the Randy Fine types.

Since @liron has allowed quoting, I can't help but note that this individual has repeatedly counter-signaled life extension activists for not sharing his AI doom obsession, while posting prolifically about his tribal hatreds (he is not even Israeli) in a way guaranteed to repel any civilized person and tar what he claims to be an existential cause by association.

This is a disaster for the Vatican. Total failure to understand the moment. Turning the church into an antiwar migrant NGO will alienate them from huge swathes of the American public. American Catholics should take a page from Tom Homan and distance themselves from the Pope.

UPDATE: Letters from Leo can now independently confirm that the meeting took place — and that the Vatican was so alarmed by the Pentagon’s tactics that Pope Leo XIV shelved plans to visit the United States later this year. Many in the Vatican saw the Pentagon’s reference to an Avignon papacy as a threat to use military force against the Holy See.

Trump has just lost a war to Iran. I would liken it to the Suez débâcle except that, at Suez, Britain successfully swept Egyptian resistance aside. We were defeated by Eisenhower’s hostility, not Nasser’s tanks. This time, the US just flat out lost - and the world is vastly worse off for it.

I voted for Trump 3 times. 3 times he ran as the anti war candidate. He ran on warming relations with Russia, withdrawing from Syria, ending the Afghan war, mid east peace, ending the Ukraine war, etc..he was a middle finger to neocons which is why Mark Levin hated him in 2016.

I can't help but notice that the men who claim they think of Rome every day are fretting hard over Trump threatening to deploy actual Roman tactics. Destroying entire civilizations is what Rome does, it's how Rome exists. It cannot be otherwise.
