@ebonyandere @hewantswealth Moved out at 21, lived for years from one pay to another always spending exactly what I earned never saving anything, changed my priorities and started saving for my own place eventually which was hard I agree renting and saving was tough, so many times wanted to treat myself

@ebonyandere @hewantswealth Yep I do indeed 2 bedroom 1 bathroom room, it’s lovely and the mortgage actually worked out cheaper than my rent when I was renting. And it’s actually less than 35k

No matter HOW you dress it up, £35k is not a good salary, sorry. Doesn’t matter if you live in London, outside London, with parents, renting a flat, in a relationship, living single, got kids, do not have kids, got a car on finance, not got a car on finance…no matter your current circumstances…you need more! And I’m not saying that to put anyone down, I just don’t want you to be comfortable earning that amount, especially on London. Housing costs are UP, train costs are UP, food costs are UP, dating costs are UP…everything UP except salaries!

Here’s what’s happening right now: OIL AND FUEL Amid news of the renewed closure, Brent is pumping to $120 per barrel. Around 20% of the world’s oil passes through the strait. The blockade cuts off supply from: - Saudi Arabia - UAE - Kuwait - Iraq If the closure lasts more than two weeks, a physical gasoline shortage in Europe and Asia will begin. Shares of oil giants (ExxonMobil, Chevron) and service companies are flying higher again. Since the start of the year, the energy sector is up 25% and remains the only island of stability. A closed strait again means rising jet fuel prices (30–35% of global exports pass through it). It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.

@flickhwilliams that makes sense if you look at from a purely money aspect. you have money to live on, benefits are there if you have no money what so ever. From a emotional perspective it’s harsh as that money is normally left for wills as a treat yourself gift not as you can get some food now
