Countries that join the coalition to open the Strait get the fee waived. Let’s examine this. The US Navy just confirmed it will not reopen the Strait. Zero allied warships have agreed to join. France said no. Germany said no. UK said not our war. Japan officially no. Australia no. Canada never. $100 billion annually from escort fees that require: A navy willing to enforce them. Allies willing to participate. Iran willing to allow it. None of those conditions currently exists.
