@sauraisnothere It's not anti-art. Its explicitly b/c it's an art form, that the act of translation forces you to make choices beyond the og text. That's why he doesn't want any translation he can't scrutinize to be legitimized as official. B/c it's essentially a new piece of art.

Imo the Toby translation discourse is only happening bc the game was originally in English. If it was originally in any other language, eg Spanish, it’s very easy to see why demanding an official translation into another lang is anti-art. You’d simply tell them to learn Spanish.
