Something to think about: All the video we found while exposing #ETHGATE was publicly available. It was the words of some very arrogant people who believed they had gotten away with it because they were working with the SEC/Govt. Now that the Hinman emails are about to come out ask yourselves this. If they were arrogant enough to say the things we've uncovered on stage knowing they were on video, just imagine what they were willing to say in emails to government officials that they believed were their SEC/Govt protectors? Just imagine.

To elaborate on my own wild speculation, J. Torres' rulings may have prodded the parties into accepting their weaknesses and there is a last ditch effort at settlement. The only settlement that makes sense to me at this point is: - Ripple pays large penalty, must register its future XRP sales on an agreed-upon basis AND - XRP is not a security, secondary XRP sales are not securities transactions Both sides give up a lot on this and neither get the true win...the hallmark of a great compromise.

Blockworks needs to pull their article, and publish an apology/correction to maintain any credibility.

Did anyone else reading the SEC v. Ripple Order on "sealing" today think that the language reads as though at least a large portion of the Order on Summary Judgment has already been drafted? Anyone? Bueller?

The SEC wants you to think that it cares about disclosure, transparency and clarity. Don’t believe them. When the truth eventually comes out, the shamefulness of their behavior here will shock you.

In 1946, in its Sup Ct “Howey” brief, the SEC unsuccessfully argued that an investment in a “common enterprise” was unnecessary provided there was a “community of interest”. The SEC was wrong then and it is still wrong now. Common Interest ≠ Common Enterprise.
