The Director @dituganda Dr. Patrick Byakatonda commissioned 535 staff of @nwscug with different certificate categories of Workers Practically Acquired Skills (PAS), UVQF competence levels 1,2,3 and 4 respectively in a ceremony at Gaba Vocational Skills Development Facility.

At today's graduation ceremony, a cohort of 40 candidates completed their training in the occupation of Herbalist at the Natural Chemotherapeutic Research Institute. Each candidate was thoroughly assessed and certified by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT).

"@ditug led a sensitization session for the workers at Roofings Rolling Mills Ltd as they prepare for an upcoming occupational competence-based assessment. This session allowed the employees to gain knowledge and appreciation from DIT. Dr Okumu Michael led it, and DIT officials

"Over 800 DIT, assessors briefed on the Modular, Workers PAS, and Full Occupational Level I, II, and III assessments for 10,791 candidates across the country. Dr. Michael Okumu, the Deputy Director, along with DIT officials, emphasized ethical values during assessment briefing."

@ditug's team is facilitating the development of the #Greenhouseoperator Assessment and Training Package (ATP). Experts from different organizations, and trainers from #BukalasaAgriculturalCollege meet. The ATP will help in training competent persons desired in the world of work

@ditug attended a workshop at Ntinda VTI to implement the "Capacity Building for Industry Demand Based TVET in Uganda" project; aimed to equip learners with competencies in occupations such as Tailor, Plumber, Welder, etc, Experts and industrialists met to review the ATPs.

@ditug has assessed the 2nd Cohort of KOICA, a project supported by the Korean Government. 621 candidates from institutions of Ntinda, Mubende, Kiryadongo, Iganga, Nyakatare and Arua, were assessed in occupations of; Welder, Tailor, Plumber, Electrician among others. @TVETuganda

lugogo VTI holds the 10th Graduation ceremony for 825 graduands who completed training from 2018 to 2023, in Motor vehicles mechanics, Plumber, Welder, Bricklayer etc, and were awarded DIT certificates. @BalaamAteenyiDr graced the occasion as Chief guest. @Dr_Byakatonda

DIT is assessing over 4000 youth under the Presidential Initiative of Skilling the Girl and Boy Child project in Level I competencies in the occupations of Hairdresser, Tailor, Knitter, Baker among others. The project runs a 6 months hands-on training in 9 centres around Kampala

Over 500 graduates trained under the PACIED program were certified with modular competence certificates in occupations of Bricklayer, Tailor, Hair Dresser and motorcycle mechanics. @Odrek_ @Dr_ByakatondaP Director @ditug awarded some of the best graduates with prizes.
