Shared an idea with a friend the other day and he said "if you draw a #pixelart cow and send it to me, then I'm onboard." So I guess I'm making a game about cows now.

@massim0g MystLike, it was the first game to prioritise exploration and story over action. It nails all of the characteristics and a good foundation for saying "expect boundless lore, layered secrets and minimal action." similar vibes to a walking simulator except so much more content

So, what are we calling these?

@devongovett Just had this exact problem, we opted for providing single language defaults. We check for context and fallback to client html lang attribute to identify if you're in default market, otherwise show empty strings. Not great, but helps avoid wrong language content in other markets

@ElyKreimendahl It's much the same as everybody elses recommendation here but I had a conference talk saved by honey, lemon and ginger tea. Someone said it was called Gollum Juice after Andy Serkis who used it all throughout filming LotR. Precise portions remain unknown but plenty of it helps

@racheleditullio The semantics of "passing" a test or being represented by numeric values are a misnomer, but it's a great way to visualise to product that it's something worth investing time and resources on, and helps them to understand the impact of changes over time

@SimoneStolzoff We ask each other what we don't want for dinner. The other person has to say something they don't want, and pass it back and forth until someone has an idea for what they do want. We found it much easier to knock a bunch of stuff off the list and get to a common ground quickly

👋 I'm writing an article for the NYT about the value of creating personal rules! Little rules like charging your phone outside of the bedroom, seasonal rules like sober January, work rules like not responding to emails after 5pm etc Do you have any such rules? I'd love to chat

@CoopsPine @Demichowicz @HarryHamishGray I figured the idea was that people coming from the road have priority so you should stop on the roundabout to accommodate them. Every other exit is normal rules apply

@Demichowicz @HarryHamishGray This picture really is a gift that keeps giving. Keep spoting new stuff. That give way is reversed because your exiting the crossing road at that point, so you would have to wait in road otherwise. All it really shows is people obviously talked, but still didn't stop the design

@kyleshevlin I have a series of calendar events I made for some point in the future to remind me to think of planning for exactly this reason. Take advantage of remembering it now to plan something for next year. Or plan remembering it next year... 😅

@jannejanne But 14/42 were when roles did go to AsAm actors, they just happened to not be him. That's the 1/3 stat (or 33% for comparison) . Say he was offered 5 roles, some he took some he declined. That number becomes 19/47. A 40% chance that any audition written for AsAm stays AsAm

@likerawfish @mikecabellon Sure the math from the numbers he has is right, but the context is wrong. Its not "1 in 3 auditions" its "1 in 3 auditions I didn't get offered the part". To get the actual ratio from any given future audition, it has to include the full dataset
