Why do we do off feet conditioning? Left: off feet session (7x4:1mins) Right: rugby session with top ups at the end Nothing can beat the game/training itself for developing true ‘match fitness’ but from a strictly physiological perspective? Lots of🫀😮‍💨+0️⃣Ecc. Load +⏱️efficient

Physical prep & Rehab theories are based on an incorrect, & (I believe) limiting, vision of how training drives biological adaptation Tomorro I'll explain why & outline how we can deliver better, more effective training designs 25th April 13:00-14:00 zoom.us/webinar/regist…

@brady_h Why would she need a hypertrophic effect the night before a competition? 🤔 Not arguing icing doesn’t blunt hypertrophy (it does) but it also decreases DOMS, and inflammation - both of which are a good thing prior to competition. Ice baths aren’t bad, when used properly.

@timkettenring I’d potentially say it’s the constant changes in surface that is the issue , not the surface itself. Consistency (in anything) is king

Yes, this may well be one of the best finishes we’ll ever see. But, what isn’t seen is the graft and medical support undertaken behind the scenes to come back from such a debilitating injury. I couldn’t be happier for Tyrone. Humble, professional and wonderfully aerodynamic 🙌

@Trainwith_Ronz The issue I’ve found with the vests is that after 5-10 washes they loosen and the Hr data becomes irregular

@eddylea Some GPS vests are compatible with certain HR monitors. E.g Statsports have a vest where you clip the polar H10 monitor into it

Funny the effort of cropping my name off the top of this chart, with no credit. But also funny seeing my name still in the image twice. I learn a lot from this app…this is an example of what not to do!

Last week, I posted about how the warmup affords you 60-75’/week of athletic development. Here’s a 🧵 on how I do it But 1st a review on why we warmup: 1. ⬆️ core temp 2. Increase joint ROM 3. Improve movement efficiency 4. Potentials for speed/power

Progressing in intensity and complexity in the A-series, A-pop is next. With A-pop, I emphasize: 1. Same vertical posture in a more dynamic environment increasing the demand 2. Rhythm: each pop should have basically the same time/distance between 3. Relaxation
