This is a really bad look for Francisco Alvarez. McLean shook him off five times before he was forced to throw a middle-middle fastball to Schanuel just to avoid a pitch clock violation. How are you not on the same page as your pitcher in the first inning? Baty and Alvarez were and are busts. With almost zero trade value now. Mauricio will be one too. Keeping him up last year for the sole reason to avoid losing an option was the stupidest thing ever and now they reap what they sow. They wasted development time and a spot on the bench. Stearns is an absolute disaster
