🚨 Jesse Derry to Sporting, here we go! 🇵🇹✨ A brilliant move for one of Chelsea's brightest young talents. Derry has earned a new deal before heading to Sporting on loan until June 2027, with his salary fully covered and no buy option—showing Chelsea still see him as part of their long-term plans. A huge opportunity for Derry to develop at a top club and prove why so many rate him so highly. {@FabrizioRomano} #CFC #SportingCP

Rodrigo De Paul on Mohamed Ziko's comments after Argentina's win over Egypt: 🗣️ Reporter: ”What do you make of Mohamed Ziko's comments suggesting Argentina were helped by the officiating?” 🗣️ Rodrigo De Paul: Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I find those comments surprising. On the pitch, he came over to me, praised the way we played, and said he admired the character we showed to come back from 2–0 down. Then, after the match, he gives a completely different interview. That doesn't really add up. The truth is that it's always easier to blame referees than to accept defeat. Football is emotional, and after a painful loss people look for excuses instead of looking at what happened on the pitch. We've been hearing these kinds of accusations ever since the last World Cup. At this point, it doesn't affect us anymore. We focus on playing football, respecting our opponents, and trusting the officials to do their job. “Refereeing decisions sometimes go for you and sometimes against you. That's football. When things don't go our way, we don't spend our time talking about conspiracies,we keep playing, keep fighting, and stay united as a team. That's the only response we believe in.”

Lionel Scaloni on Lionel Messi breaking down in tears after Argentina’s comeback against Egypt: 🗣️“When I saw Leo crying, I didn’t see a footballer celebrating a victory. I saw a little boy who still dreams with the same passion he had before the world knew his name. Those tears came from somewhere much deeper than this match. “People keep asking me, ‘Why is Messi crying? He has already won everything.’ That’s exactly why they don’t understand him. Leo has never played this game to collect trophies. He plays because he loves Argentina with every part of his soul. Every time he wears this shirt, he feels responsible for 50 million people. “I looked into his eyes after the final whistle, and I honestly asked myself… does he want to win the World Cup all over again? I think he does. Not because he needs another medal, not because he needs another Ballon d’Or, and certainly not because he has anything left to prove. He wants to feel that emotion again. He wants to give his country another unforgettable memory. “There is no player in football history who has completed the game the way Messi has. He has won almost everything there is to win. But tonight his tears reminded me that his hunger is still alive. That’s what separates the greatest from everyone else they never stop dreaming. “People see records, statistics and trophies. I see a man who still suffers after every mistake, who still celebrates every goal like it’s the first of his career, and who still carries the pain and joy of an entire nation on his shoulders. You cannot fake those emotions. “When we were 2–0 down, he didn’t panic. He kept telling the players, ‘Believe. Keep going. We are Argentina.’ Then he led the comeback. And when it was over… all the emotions he had been holding inside simply came pouring out. “I believe those tears were saying something words couldn’t. They were saying, ‘I don’t want this journey to end. Give me one more chance. Let me fight for this trophy again.’ That’s the heart of a champion. That’s the heart of Lionel Messi. “One day football will lose him, and only then will people realize that moments like these were never about records or trophies. They were about watching a man who had already conquered the sport still crying because representing Argentina means more to him than anything else in the world. That’s why he will always be different.”

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Thierry Henry on the claims that Argentina robbed Egypt at the World Cup : "People keep telling me that's a penalty for Salah, but I completely disagree. Watch the replay carefully. The contact is soft, Salah is already anticipating it, and he's going down before there's anything significant. In football, not every touch is a foul, especially in the dying moments of a massive game when the referee has to be absolutely certain. "What amazes me is the inconsistency. For years, some of these same people mocked Messi every time he won a penalty under similar circumstances, saying he 'looked for contact' or 'made the most of it.' Now the standards have suddenly changed because it's Salah. You can't have two different rulebooks depending on the player you support." "If you criticized Messi for penalties like those but are convinced this is a clear penalty for Salah, then you're not judging the incident objectively, you're judging the shirt. Football doesn't work like that. The laws are the same for everyone, and so should your opinions be."
