Today the State of Michigan and City of Romulus sued ICE to stop the ill-conceived and rushed proposed detention center near Metro Airport. The Romulus warehouse is not and will never be an appropriate place for detention.

When DHS and ICE claim to enforce the law, they should follow it too. Yet courts have repeatedly ruled against their actions. Now they’re pushing a detention facility in Metro Detroit with no concern for the residents who will be impacted.

An estimated 400 teens are running amok downtown on State St. and Michigan Ave. It's an absolute mess. CPD contact tells us some teens have mace and tasers. Teens were tasing people.
