After I saw Army use the black plastic Arirang logo piece from the Rooted in Korea album version in creative ways, I thought about what I could do with it too that would also reflect my chosen theme for my personal experience with the album and tour - "Eat this life 'til your heart is full" - so I made (gluten free) sesame sugar cookies stamped with the Arirang logo! Long before I was Army I was an avid baker, with a certification from baking & pastry school and my own silly blog that no one read. That was a large part of my identity and my biggest creative outlet until I had to go gluten free several years ago. I felt lost after something I took such joy and pride in was taken from me, but I've been reclaiming that with support from loved ones and Army friends! Seeing BTS lay everything out with Arirang and say "This is us, we're proud of it, and that's all that matters" inspired me to be creative again and share it without worrying about how it'll be received, so thank you BTS 💜
