Y’all, I’m happy to do this, truly, but you need to understand that I’m deep in MAGA country here. I don’t know if it’s my shirt (woke up Magical), or the fact that I’m buying BTS, or they can smell my politics or queerness or what, but this store the teller was very nice, but in between transactions she called the store manager on me because wanted to make sure I wasn’t breaking rules. I explained that these weren’t target exclusives (and they didn’t have that sticker), her manager said it okay, but she still rang one five times to make sure the system wouldn’t flag it. 😭 I explained I wasn’t buying them this way because their rules but because of Billboard’s draconian, despotic policies designed to keep “outsiders” outside of the charts. She didn’t seem convinced. On the other hand, the cool 50s hippie woman behind me in line became very intrigued and was curious about both the rules and the band. Win?🤷‍♀️ Regardless, we roll on. As the boys say….SWIM.
