@kbulychev_ Neobanks only need a token if it is fundamental to the business model Tokens in general are only needed if they are fundamental to the business model. The business model should be designed around the token from the start Great examples of this are @AerodromeFi and @AskVenice

Be honest: do you think neobanks need a token or they can grow without it?

Hey @fluc_intern ! Thanks for being a long time $LIL holder. 1. Solana $LIL will always remain fully tradeable. We can only decrease supply by token buybacks, and burning. The contract is frozen. 2. Base $wLIL has launched via the docs.base.org/base-chain/qui… Contract: basescan.org/token/0x5075f9… 3. This is handled by the base bridge. This is pretty much how it works already. We’ll release a front end to make that process easier. 4. This is interesting. I’ll write some blog posts exploring the different options with regards to reward distribution / loyalty 5. We are not going to launch a new token and dilute supply. The bridge means $wLIL on base is canonically 1:1 with Solana LIL. Our main aim is to align the token holders with the KPIs of the business. So I’m less convinced by the multipliers for bridging it over and more for earning LIL in return for helping us grow as a business (quality referrals, transaction volume, trying new products, providing feedback, etc).

Hey @CryptoFilles, as a long-term $LIL holder on Solana, I like the direction you’re going. Here’s a holder-first proposal that should help drive strong adoption on Base: Holder-First Roadmap: 1. Solana $LIL stays fully tradable with strong liquidity. Supply only decreases via voluntary bridging/burning. 2. Base $LIL launches initially tradable with its own LP. 3. Snapshot 1:1 Claim: Existing holders get a snapshot and can claim Base $LIL 1:1 by optionally bridging/burning. New users buy normally. 4. Loyalty Bonus: Existing holders receive an exclusive 1.5x – 2.0x multiplier on rewards/equity. New users get 1x. (optional) 5. Liquidity Safeguards: Gradual phases, strong Base LP seeding, both sides tradable initially. Important note: If you launch a completely new token on Base it would hurt the existing user base and be a bad start for the project. Please clearly communicate that you will not do this and that the existing Solana pool will not suffer — by keeping the same $LIL token, protecting liquidity, and giving early holders priority (1:1 + multiplier). This would create trust and alignment. This feels like the sweet spot for current holders. I would bridge a big part of my bags with these terms. What do you think — feasible?

Not sure yet if people should be able to trade both sides. One potential token roadmap is: Solana $LIL is a fixed supply asset. Supply reduces because they can be moved to Base but not the other way. On Base, $LIL becomes one of two things: (A) “classic” reward point - we would need a sales team to set up a reward program (B) novel @MetaLeX_Labs structure, so users become real owners in the business In either case non-tradable but transferable. Wdyt?

Bullish on and the @liminalcash team! devs: @CryptoFilles (ex @cryptocom ) & @0xJackMarsh The project has already established strong connections in the Base ecosystem — including productive spaces and direct engagement with the Base team and Jesse Pollak’s circle. A wrapped version along with the SOL <> Base bridge is underway, supported by concrete utility plans for their neobank app (fee discounts, subscription alternatives, etc.). At a current market cap of around $900K, this feels like a project with real potential to become a significant runner. The team is building a high-quality, AI-powered, borderless neobank focused on stablecoins and actual user needs — a combination of strong ecosystem alignment and genuine product-market fit that should drive substantial traction and interest going forward. Only way to get in touch before they wrap it up is on pump.fun CA qnko6WJGEwEU3JYQFZakLe9V8dmS4YAXFARHeRipump They are the only Neobank project at Base Batches 003 x.com/base/status/20…

On token burns: I get that burning tokens shouldn’t be the key value prop for a project But burning tokens shouldn’t backfire, or can they? What are the negative effects of burning tokens? In @indexy_xyz trading, when someone buys or sells an index (via $I or USDC), fees are split in the following ways: 1. $i % goes to the index creator 2. $i % goes to indexy 3. $i % is burned If USDC was used, we buy $i for those 3 purposes. We are happy with this system as it rewards all the parties involved Interested in hearing counter arguments or how to improve it
