Today I'm 30 🎉 and this year has been one of the most challenging ones of my life - end of 9-5 in April - 6 months of experimenting publicly -> created my company in October - now working 10-12 hours a day, showing who I am & sharing what I like more than ever That's not just a business, that's my life & my future --------------- If you don't know me, I'm Vincent, I'm from France 🇫🇷, and yes I'm now 30 Wanted to be a game dev, then got a Master's degree in English studies (with a 100pages research paper on AI btw) Then complete shift to web dev, started from zero, one year later I was creating a web app for a huge British company as a solo dev That ended this year, I was going freelancing, but on the way found this indie community here I like to code, but because it's what helps me create stuff And that's actually what I'm addicted to 🎸 I play guitar (got my first one probably on this exact day 20 years ago) 🎶 I've recorded probably more than a hundred songs over the last 15 years 🎮 I love gaming, I used to spend 10 hours a day not coding but playing, not much time anymore now (toxic trait: I believe I could've turned pro on CoD4) 🖥️ Now creating things online, from SaaS to web apps to random tools... I haven't got THE product that could help me blow up and that would make me want to focus on 100% And that's perfectly fine Because in the meantime, I've got more time to keep experimenting, growing, and finding myself And tbh according to who I am, I think I'd prefer working on a range of different things at the same time, more than on just one single thing But I could come back to these words the day I've got $1m SaaS🤣 --------------- I said this two months ago (in my 500 followers post): "My main business goal: make my first € (or $, I'll take it!) from dev before 2026" ✅ I've made $100 after 1 month already "My main personal goal: turn 30 in November feeling good mentally and in my best physical shape ever (= keep smashing workouts)" 🟰 I haven't taken care of my body/health enough tbh, spent the whole of October focusing on work ✅ But I'm mentally stronger than ever thanks to stepping out of my comfort zone everyday --------------- One of the most challenging years, because I keep challenging myself > posting here regularly > now even making videos, showing myself on socials for the first time ever > talking to the world, not even in my mother tongue > making connections with great people, interacting more, having calls etc When I turned 20, I could have never done any of these Even a few years ago actually Probably not even when 2025 started Ngl there have been some hard times already, I felt stuck, overwhelmed, I'd be putting so much work in things that would feel useless once posted I even wrote a whole post about it that no one saw (if you want to know more about about that less bright side of the story, just go to my post from the 5th of November that starts with "freewriting") --------------- So yeah, my focus is not just on my business, my focus is to grow as a human, in all possible ways This is just the beginning for me, I know I'm on the right tracks, but I'm not even in my prime yet Thank you to everyone reading this, supporting me, with whom I've interacted, shared something or who helped me directly or indirectly ❤️ thank you

Going to the gym for the first time 🙏 Today I finally did it I actually got the membership 3 months ago but I never went I’ve been putting so much work and effort on my projects but no work on my body and health I was completely lost in the gym. Started experimenting with hand-tracking-based interactions for my little voxel editor – BoxelXR. There are a lot of things to tune, but overall it feels good. Though it would require some decent work in sound design to compensate for the lack of haptic feedback.
