This is a you issue. My wife and I have never once travelled abroad including to Germany and elsewhere in the EU without purchasing travel insurance that included full medical coverage and medical evacuation. Do it before every trip. We use Squaremouth to compare plans from multiple companies and choose the coverage that fits best. It’s as automatic to us as getting our visas, booking the hotels, etc. When working for corporate employers, they have plans that cover this. When wife had her own business, she bought policies when doing international biz travel just like we do for leisure travel. You knowingly took the risk of not having coverage, and got burned. Hope your wife recovers quickly and well.

Remember how David Stearns personally went to Japan to scout Murakami....and determined that he wasnt worth signing. Yea....that's backfiring big time....especially on a super cheap 2 yr/$34M deal. Polanco at 2 yr/$40M to play out of position was worth it though...

Fire Mendoza for what ? I agree change is needed but this is on one man and his name is David Stearns

What a different season we'd be having if he was here. 2/34 is less than Polanco and he's actually a first baseman. I know hindsight is 20/20 but you pay a guy like Stearns to capitalize on shit like this.

This continues to be on the players. Mendoza can’t control the lineup doing absolutely nothing against a bullpen that entered play with the eighth-worst ERA in baseball this season. Other than Lindor’s homer, the offense continues to be this team’s biggest flaw. Mendoza used his bench with urgency tonight, pinch hitting his righties against Banda in the 6th. He shook up the lineup today too, putting Semien in the leadoff spot, riding the hot hand. Mendoza can’t control Devin having a meltdown in the ninth either. He was being aggressive using his closer in a tie game. That’s his best high-leverage arm with the roster the front office built. I understand the frustration 100 percent, but if you’re gonna point fingers, it’s the guys underperforming and not executing above everyone else.

There’s something to be said for being able to handle New York It is way too early to say the new Mets who are struggling can’t handle it, but the jury is out until they show they can Part of it is being accountable amid this losing streak

Hard to explain what’s going on right now. Tonight felt like the night to stop the tailspin. Up 3-0, McLean dominating…then it unraveled again. Really feels like an anything that can go wrong, will go wrong situation. A lot of questions, no answers with things spiraling fast.

Never thought the Mets would lose this one. Woods-Richardson is the definition of a mediocre starter yet other than Lindor's HR, Mets' hitters managed 3 singles in 5 ip, and zero vs. bullpen. It's almost unfathomable how bad they've been in this 12-game losing streak.
