If you're in a meeting, and someone says "I don't think that option would be acceptable to the business," who is "the business?" I sort-of intuitively understand what they mean, but I'm unclear on who "the business" is when we all work for the same company.

@JiujitsuOtter After the first two rounds, Levi was no longer threatening anything. He was just retaining guard. Also the ref wasn’t enforcing “no sitting without contact” at all. Ref stopped the Rockhold match and made him stand. Levi got a verbal warning in round 3.

Day 1 of #CJI wasn’t perfect, but still managed to be more entertaining and better streamed than anything @ADCC_Federation and @FloGrappling have put together. And it was thrown together in a couple months. Watching ADCC now and the difference in watchability is pretty stark.

They're similar in that they both sound great on the surface

@optionsly @haystack_ia @edzitron But it's very easy to see how a robotaxi company *could* make money, even if this part of Twitter doesn't think they will. AI revenue isn't even theoretical, it's completely dream-like. It's never explained.

Apples and oranges. All four of these are parts of public companies, Reality Labs would never happen in any other company but Zuckerberg literally can't be fired. These are not "startups" or "companies" like OpenAI is.

I know $5b/year sounds like a lot of burn but in context: Cruise: $5b/yr burn Waymo: $5b/yr burn Alexa: $7b/yr burn Reality labs: $12b/yr burn OpenAI has more potential/hype/rev than all of these OpenAI will have zero trouble raising money.
