NEW: I asked @AOC about Chi Ossé filing paperwork to run against Hakeem Jeffries. “I certainly don't think a primary challenge to the leader is a good idea right now,” she told @axios axios.com/2025/11/18/aoc…

Do you want to know why Michelle Obama won’t run for president? Here it is, and she’s not wrong…

CNN: Mamdani, are you going to vote for him? CHUCK SCHUMER: We're continuing to talk. CNN: The vote is on Tuesday; what are you gonna do? CHUCK SCHUMER: [walks away]

And... there it is Announcement is made: US House will be out of session again next week

The rats have been a disturbance in New York City for too long, and now we have the high ground.

NEWS: @BrianneKNadeau says she will *not* be running for re-election to the Ward 1 seat on the D.C. Council, setting the stage for what is already looking to be a crowded and competitive race.

‘I didn’t agree with everything he said’ What…did you…agree…with?

Imagine saying this with a straight face

ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt suggests Zohran Mamdani “believes” in the ‘Globalize the Intifada’ slogan because he won’t condemn it and questions why Mamdani hasn’t visited a single synagogue + “hasn’t been to any mainstream Jewish institution.”

This is so bizarre. Prob implicates a set of reliable voters (people in rent stabilized housing that make as much as/more than Zohran), him moving out wouldn't guarantee housing for a single homeless mother (?), and Zohran's law wouldn't actually remove Zohran if it existed lol

Somewhere last night in New York City, a single mother and her children again slept at a homeless shelter because you, assemblyman @ZohranKMamdani continue to occupy her rent-stabilized apartment. It’s been 10 days since the world found out. You went on a weeklong distraction tour as the pressure builds. But the facts have only become more damning. You claim you didn’t know the apartment was rent-stabilized when you moved in. But you also say you were working as a foreclosure prevention counselor at the time. Your job was to read leases. Rent-stabilized leases clearly and repeatedly say they are “rent stabilized”. Are New Yorkers to believe that you didn’t read your own lease? There’s not a single person in New York who doesn’t know that they are in a rent stabilized unit! New Yorkers are not fools. In 2020, your state financial disclosure stated you made virtually no income. How did you qualify for the lease and pay your rent? Why the mystery? What are you hiding? The median income for a household with a rent stabilized apartment is $60,000. Today, you make $142,000 a year (as the NYT reported, $142,000 is the 90% income percentile in New York City) plus you get paid state stipends and your wife also works. What is your household income? We are in the middle of a historic affordability crisis. Millions of people desperately need the rent stabilized apartment you occupy. Yet you and your wife pay $2,300 a month, as you have bragged, for a nice apartment in Astoria. Struggling families need this housing. I’ve proposed Zohran’s law to make sure that moving forward, when rent stabilized apartments come on the market, by law they go to people who need them. In your case, for a man who campaigns on principle and moral clarity, I reiterate my call for you to end your hypocrisy and move out immediately and give your affordable housing back to a family who need it. Time to move out.

Cuomo's campaign provides some more details on his Zohran Mamdani-trolling proposal to make rent stabilized units in NYC income-restricted:

okay what is, in your opinion, the 4 major american cities

When has the government proven to be a better operator of any business at lower cost than the private sector? Imagine if every NYC supermarket were run like the Motor Vehicle Bureau. That’s the city we would have under Zohran’s leadership.

I was today years old when I learned Zohran Mamdani once had a fledgling rap career…
