@SHORT_MEISTER @TheDavidVinc Great map. Totally agree. It's just semantics then. Jedi Survivor great game, can't wait to see the 3rd. First game was more Metroidvania maps, loop back to each other. Survivor had a good bit more exploration than the 1st game. Boba was a boss 🫡

@interselic @TheDavidVinc I would say the holo map in Jedi Survivor is pretty good for showing scale in level based games. A good map + a believable mode of travel is all you need imo.

There's nothing better than that moment when you get to the world map in an RPG. I really hope Final Fantasy 17 goes back to a traditional world map, they just add so much immersion to the game.

@interselic @TheDavidVinc You're not wrong in that it helps create a sense of exploration but I don't think a world map is all that crazy of a feature when all you really need is a regular map that will put the scale into context.

@SHORT_MEISTER @TheDavidVinc How does the character get from one area to another? Walking down a loading screen? Towns Separated by loading screens no exploration? If you subtract world maps out, you're in a linear City to City transition, where is the sense of discovery and journey coming from? I call Cap

For people who say 'it's not harder', let me give a real life example. My wife got divorced some 20+ years ago. She kept her daughter's name because it would be easier as a single mom to have the same last name, plus it's also a connection to her. She has since lost her divorce decree and marriage license because she literally had zero reason to keep it. Plus, people lose documents all the time. That's life. She tried to get a Real ID, so she had to call around to get her birth certificate, divorce decree and old marriage license. Her BC was easy, but divorce decree they would only send for $40 for some reason, so she's already down $60 or so. But, her marriage was 25 or so years ago and the place she got married doesn't have her license. So, not only is she down $60, she still can't get her Real ID because she can't find her old marriage license. There are a few more options she can try, but that story alone should give a clear real example of how this absolutely makes it harder to register to vote under the SAVE Act.
