My brother’s dad just died. He wasn’t a believer in Christ. How do I pray for someone who has passed but didn’t know Christ?

@MetaloraRising @catholiccom Eph. 2:8-9 says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. Good works are the result for true salvation, but we are not saved by our good works. If you add anything to Christ, you are not truly saved.

@jankitty @catholiccom James 2:24 "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." Salvation comes from Faith + Works. Divine Grace provided our salvation and we respond by doing as He commanded us by doing good works.
