Among the reasons they felt confident letting him go was the development of Jamien Sherwood — who forced the fumble right there. Sherwood was a safety in college. It was going to take some time for him to learn the position. Now he has and you're getting to see his freakish althecism shine because he's no longer thinking. I think he'll fit in well next to C.J. Mosley & Quincy Williams. He could also be the long-term replacement for Mosley if Jets move on from him after the year.
