@MattDoble89 Thanks - going to have to work out why. Can only imagine lots of students across country didn’t do as well due to to attendance etc.

@mathewdowns Our overall P8 went up about 0.15, but some subject SPI scores saw really considerable increases, iMedia springs to mind as nearly going up by a full 1.0.

22-23 susp/excl data released today. Behaviour continues to be on the decline in the post covid era. In BCP there has been a +35% increase in suspensions and +80% in perm exclusions YoY. Grammar schools stepping up. @BS_headteacher @mathewdowns @debbs_198 @kateannball @AvothMark

@Strickomaster I actually think it was ‘marginally’ better but a few changes over Covid time never reverted and think it’s worse than it was!

@ajjolley We are in position where new contract from last September had a provision in it for this increase but apparently ‘not enough’ 😔

@Headteacherchat We do - but then think it’s also as I started doing it. My two love it and walk about a secondary school like they own it! Students love them being there too!

Anon post: I'm curious if any schools allow staff to bring their own children to school on inset days that don't align with the children's school schedule.

@sunnyfieldsmrr @Headteacherchat We used whiteboards too but told lead inspector we were all in the room and used names so she was aware all were involved.

@Headteacherchat Have your key leaders around the table for the 90 minute call. They were passing me key points on post it notes to mention. I also knew what i wanted as the deep dive and used the conversation to drive this subject (PE). I had a sheet with jobs to be done before inspection too.

Has anyone else had loads more deceleration admission requests? My feeling is that this is a last resort (17 yr old in Y11 doesn't go well in 11-16 schools imho) but would love to read any research! @ASCL_UK @JackWorthNFER

Well that was a long Tuesday, but we’re done! Out of office on, laptop off - and my first chance to stop properly since the end of July (during which AY setup, results days, enrolment and start of a new year have all happened!) This break is NEEDED! #AnnualLeave 🛌😴👋
