Hello @carlitopablo - I'm really not on Twitter anymore but was hoping I could interest you in my new book about mental health and addiction to come out March 29. Where can I reach you?

@matthewbdexter Well, we were in Cabo two months ago. We can't warm up to the place. Don't know whether we'll be there again in the foreseeable future.

I know this might sound trivial, but is there anyone at Vancouver City Hall who can get Ken Sim to dress like a grown up for events where he is responsible for official duties? #vanpoli

Life can change in an instant! We were involved in a 3 car crash and were hit from behind. Our kids were a little shaken by everything but are okay now. I got out and checked on the other two cars behind us to make sure everyone was alright, and grateful for the amazing support from the first responders. People need to seriously slow down while driving it's not worth it. #Grateful

Hopeful, but I don't think it's going to happen.

The last off ramp: uphold the constitution... Trump is disqualified from being sworn into office on 1/20/25, and Chief Justice Roberts knows it. In November of 2023: "The court found that, “Petitioners have established that Trump engaged in an insurrection on January 6, 2021 through incitement, and that the First Amendment does not protect Trump’s speech.” Link: citizensforethics.org/news/press-rel… The 14th Amendment is unambiguous: Trump is constitutionally NOT qualified to hold office. The SCOTUS ruling on that Colorado case said that Trump couldn't be disqualified from ballots by the states, and ruled congress must determine eligibility, re: section 3. Link: constitutioncenter.org/blog/the-supre… ***Nothing in that ruling exonerated Trump or overturned that finding. No legislation or SCOTUS ruling can override the disqualification clause. It is a constitutional mandate.*** Before Trump can be constitutionally eligible to be sworn into office, Congress MUST vote to remove his disability. And anyone serving in government is bound by their oath to uphold that. This is what our laws explicitly say. Ask Justice Roberts: What are you going to do? Will you defend our constitution? Or will you throw it away for Trump, one of the dumbest, most dishonest, criminal, and incompetent people to ever live in our country. Every time he gets a pass, it gets worse, and worse, and worse, increasing the debt to paid by innocent people, patriots, and future generations. It doesn't have to be this way, all that has to be done is to simply uphold our laws. #14thAmendment

Hey followers - if you haven’t moved to Bluesky yet, I really encourage you to try it. It’s MUCH better than Twitter and so many of the people you follow are already there. I’m on SimonFrCox.bsky.social Here’s some tips if you make the move. Hope to see you there.

@MaryBethO_ Just got off a meeting. Can't imagine I could have done it otherwise. And, as we both know, that doesn't mean it has to be like that or anyone else. The ways of recovery are mysterious.

@DrAnnieHickox These ppl can have much more power. I think it's super important for the therapist to be aware of their power and act accordingly but not think of themselves as these demi Gods that some of their talk makes them out to be. 3/3

@DrAnnieHickox I often have the sneaking suspicion that a lot of the talk about how much power the therapist has over the client comes from an inflated idea about that power. Think about other professions - lawyer, realtor, mortgage broker, pastor. 2/n

This is really important. Therapists who pretend that they are fighting oppression along with their patients are disingenuous and unhelpful. The therapist inherently has power over the patient, and this kind of phoney ‘comrades in arms’ alliance is yet another form of control they exert in the therapy room.
