It’s because (for better or worse) most of the state does not care about high school basketball. If I ask a casual basketball fan from Wisconsin who Jalen Johnson is, most have no clue. If I ask the same question about Sam Dekker, almost everyone knows.

The state of Wisconsin has a homegrown NBA All Star that’s averaging almost a triple-double and I feel like it’s not talked about or celebrated much? Maybe I’m wrong. It’s been amazing to see what Jalen has turned himself into. Proud of how many great athletes are coming from the state!
