The Bhagavad-Gita is not derived from India. Like Buddhism, everyone understood this prior to the 20th century and Indian nationalism. Like Buddhism, the Bhagavad-Gita was delivered to India from the Scythian steppe, they merely adopted it, and then quickly abandoned it.

I admire the efforts to revive the ancient faiths of our people, but we lack a clear ontology or aesthetics or ethics, and the result is that our efforts become Protestantism with extra steps. The only Indo-Aryan faith that contains everything we need is in the Bhagavad-Gita.
