I fully agree: even targets such as anti-cheats and gaming DRMs have become significantly easier to analyze with agents, if you know how to guide them and validate their results.

Previous generations of software protection (DRM perspective) have always relied on code complexity (for RE), compute limitations, and human limitations as the guarantees that kept hacking timelines reasonably long. That's changed now. Beyond the acceleration in vulnerability research and malware analysis, the same new reality applies to software protection, and security by obscurity, or assuming the attacker is limited in compute and motivation, no longer works.

@lyq_sqsp yes agree this is why I have mentioned that CFG restructuring for that decompilation pipeline is already established. Out of curiosity, CUDA also supports jump tables.

IMHO we probably don't need a very powerful structurizer, since most real world CUDA kernels are designed for speed and have far fewer branches than typical programs after compilation. Semantic-level recovery of the types/memory operations may be more important, given how sparse Nvidia's documentation is about the SASS.

Amazing talk! btw I have also vibe coded something that may help with some of the gaps. The structurizer algorithms and the dataflow analysis are still premature though.

The new version of my #BinaryNinja plugin Obfuscation Analysis (v1.2) adds recursive function inlining in the decompiler. It collapses call-heavy code into a single function; analysis, constant propagation, DCE and other analyses work across boundaries.
