@CahairOKane1 It's not a free kick it's a sideline no foul is committed. Makes no sense and 2 pointers for sidelines and frees but not 45s. A sideline and 45 the same sort of thing. I don't know how they have come up with all the new rules.

Derry protested strongly that the sideline ball is only worth one. I'm doing a trawl of rules to be sure, but I think it is worth two.

@ninjarifter @sportandstuffs @eoinyk Because its roads are narrow and choked by cars, with only a very limited suburban rail network. I live 4 miles from the centre & it takes an hour on the bus (vs 20 minutes on a bike). Many people including students have commutes over 1.5h each way, terrible for a city this size.

@sportandstuffs @eoinyk It shouldn't be sprawling, it should be going upwards, 20 or 30 floor condos on the docks. But people in the city don't want skyscrapers and object so sprawl continues

@ninjarifter @eoinyk Dublin badly needs a metro system. As it’s going to keep sprawling & now is the time to build it and have a foundation to expand. Hopefully the metro to the airport will be the start.

@sportandstuffs @eoinyk Why? And if it does why just one line, it probably needs at least four in that case. Use the 20 billion to provide higher speed rail to the other cities and people will move out of Dublin, guaranteed

Correct me if I’m wrong. If a county wins a provincial final, it is guaranteed home advantage to begin the All Ireland competition. So Kerry has to win 2 games to earn that right and Armagh has to win 4 games for the same privilege?

I still don’t think I’ll believe Metro is actually happening until I see the tunnel borer break that first piece of ground. The project is going to transform Dublin. And almost everyone in the country will probably get some benefit from it at some stage.
