@EwanMacKenna Normal service has resumed in the province it seems. A div 3 team gave them a harder game than today.

Keep hearing Leinster football is in a better place than for years. If this Dublin win Leinster, the province is in the single worst place in its history. #gaa

@Dee2footy @CahairOKane1 A sideline kick is most definitely a free kick. Opposing players must be back a certain distance to allow the kick to be taken.

@CahairOKane1 It's not a free kick it's a sideline no foul is committed. Makes no sense and 2 pointers for sidelines and frees but not 45s. A sideline and 45 the same sort of thing. I don't know how they have come up with all the new rules.

Derry protested strongly that the sideline ball is only worth one. I'm doing a trawl of rules to be sure, but I think it is worth two.

Whatever Dublin fan who has a cow bell for Louth frees shouldn't be removed by stewards, but instead should beaten to a piece by opposition fans. That's not on.

@EwanMacKenna Ulster football championship is almost at the level of the Munster hurling championship, there I've said it. Hurling folk will be appaled

That Jack McCarron point the best since Maurice Fitz in Thurles? Also ref will get abuse but realised he made a mistake (both teams made endless mistakes) and he rectified it. #monaghan #derry #gaa

@EwanMacKenna Endless hand passing will never bring the joy of this beautiful kick. The way the game should be played.

@ninjarifter @sportandstuffs @eoinyk Congestion in Dublin will cost 2 billion euro a year by 2040. It’s very much needed. The population of Swords will grow to 100,000 by 2040 also.

@sportandstuffs @eoinyk It shouldn't be sprawling, it should be going upwards, 20 or 30 floor condos on the docks. But people in the city don't want skyscrapers and object so sprawl continues

@ninjarifter @eoinyk Dublin badly needs a metro system. As it’s going to keep sprawling & now is the time to build it and have a foundation to expand. Hopefully the metro to the airport will be the start.

@sportandstuffs @eoinyk Why? And if it does why just one line, it probably needs at least four in that case. Use the 20 billion to provide higher speed rail to the other cities and people will move out of Dublin, guaranteed

@PlayerGaelic Okay, change the provincial championship structure then, 4 conferences of 8 counties...Ulster says no every time

Correct me if I’m wrong. If a county wins a provincial final, it is guaranteed home advantage to begin the All Ireland competition. So Kerry has to win 2 games to earn that right and Armagh has to win 4 games for the same privilege?

I still don’t think I’ll believe Metro is actually happening until I see the tunnel borer break that first piece of ground. The project is going to transform Dublin. And almost everyone in the country will probably get some benefit from it at some stage.

🚇A major milestone for MetroLink today. The tender issued for trains, tracks and stations. A 25-year contract, with works starting this August/September. Fully funded by Government and we’re committed to delivering it

@DaraghCassidy Yes it will help people in Donegal or Kerry immensely 😄 That 20 billion it will cost would help to build new rail lines all over the country and improve the current ones

@jamesfahey15 Oldest talkshow of it's kind. To be fair RTE don't have a lot to boast about but this is one of them. It would be a shame for it to be gone.

Late Late show finishes tonight and good riddance. It has long ceased to be an entertainment show only the same tired old guests they keep bringing on time after time. I don’t think anyone can revive it to the good old days.
