I still wonder why this administration decided to change the national anthem. Now, it feels like we don't have a national anthem. I bet that the majority of Nigerians can't recite the new anthem. If we had qualified for the World Cup, our supporters would have been staring while they played the anthem.

I'm not holding Mr. Melaye's brief. I am also not a fan, but this tweet isn't a way to talk about someone who "gave you an opportunity to film in his house", either directly or indirectly. You can express your reservation among friends and a few people in private, but doing this here to someone who let you film in his house is not graceful.
Uche is a girl@UcheMaryOkoli

I had the opportunity to film in Dino Melaye's house in 2020. Dino is proof that you can own the flashiest cars and live in the most beautiful mansion, yet still be poor. True poverty is not merely the lack of material possessions. It goes much deeper than that. A person can have everything money can buy and still be impoverished in character, values, purpose, or peace of mind.

DISCLAIMER AND CATEGORICAL DENIAL OF FALSE ALLEGATIONS OF RAPE, SEXUAL MISCONDUCT, AND ANY CRIMINAL INVOLVEMENT My attention has been drawn to a malicious and defamatory publication currently circulating on X (formerly Twitter), made by the account identified as @TheAjakeManger, wherein the author falsely alleged that I was “almost expelled for rape and molestation in Enugu Law School.” Following the publication of the said false allegation, it has been widely circulated, reposted, and amplified by several other users, with numerous comments and reactions being made in furtherance of the said false narrative. I hereby state categorically, unequivocally, and without any reservation whatsoever that I have never, at any point in my life, been involved in rape, sexual misconduct, or any sexual offence whatsoever. I have also never been investigated, accused, charged, or found culpable for any criminal offence known to law. For the avoidance of doubt, throughout my one-year programme at the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, I was never involved in any act of misconduct, nor was any allegation of misconduct or criminal behaviour made against me. I was never issued any query, disciplinary notice, or sanction, and to the best of my knowledge, no complaint of rape, sexual misconduct, or any related allegation was ever recorded against me by the institution. The publication in question is therefore entirely false, reckless, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish my reputation, destroy my professional standing, and silence my political opinions and ideological convictions. When I saw the campaign of falsehood being orchestrated against me, I asked myself: “Has my voice become so loud that some individuals now consider false accusations as a means of silencing me?” This tactic is not unfamiliar to me. During the 2023 general elections, I witnessed similar patterns of online attacks, intimidation, blackmail, and attempts to suppress dissenting voices against individuals who expressed political views contrary to those of supporters of Mr. @PeterObi. I was initially inclined towards supporting Obi, but I became deeply dissatisfied with the conduct and methods employed by his Obidient mob, which ultimately influenced my decision to support President @officialABAT, a decision I remain firm and unapologetic about. My records are clean, and I say this with every sense of responsibility and confidence. Indeed, upon completion of my programme at the Nigerian Law School, I was honoured with a LETTER OF COMMENDATION from the Council of Legal Education, a recognition that speaks to my conduct, discipline, and commitment throughout my period of study. I shall make the said commendation letter publicly available in a subsequent post. One of the reasons I have deemed it necessary to respond promptly to this false allegation is because I am presently handling a rape matter in my professional capacity as a legal practitioner, where I have successfully pursued legal steps that resulted in the remand of the defendant pending trial. As a matter of principle, sexual offences are among the gravest violations of human dignity, and I have consistently maintained a strong stance against perpetrators of such crimes. To my friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who have reached out to me in concern, I appreciate your messages, calls, and unwavering confidence in my character. You know who I am, the values I stand for, and the reason behind this malicious campaign. Obidiots believed that falsehood, and character assassination will force me into silence, let this serve as a clear message: I will not be bullied, intimidated, or compelled to abandon my convictions. I remain steadfast in my beliefs, my support for President Tinubu, and my commitment to exercising my right to freedom of expression. Falsehood may trend for a moment, but truth and integrity will always outlive it. I have the reputation that your Obi is praying for. E. O. Ogar, Esq.

we hyped Fati, Pedri, Gavi, Balde, Cubarsi, Fermin and a couple youngsters but none of them has attained the global recognition and brand Lamine has. What happened with Lamine? What did we specifically do as a fan base with Lamine that Fati didn’t get?

I have met a lot of people that voted Peter Obi the last time and will be voting PBAT next year. I have also met a lot of people that voted Peter Obi last time but will sit out this election because Peter Obi hasn’t been as inspiring as he was in 2023 and they do not consider the alternatives as better. I haven’t met a single PBAT supporter that is now supporting Peter Obi or any other candidate( this is my reality) I believe this administration hasn’t lived up to certain hype but I cannot deny that it’s been reform minded. Helping correct structural issues that have plagued this country far too long. For example, the recent passage of the state policing bill is by no means a mean feat. That this administration makes it look easy or don’t blow their trumpet so loudly does not diminish the huge significance of the bill and the tireless work that they put into it. The implementation of the Nigeria Payments System Vision 2028 ( championed by CBN) is another policy that has gone under the radar(I believe we should all read about the policy) . This is one policy that will revolutionize our financial system for good. One that will birth several financial innovation and products. There is no eradication of poverty without financial inclusion and it appears CBN is on an articulated agenda towards a sustainable path. For some of us, there are enough reasons to stick around this current administration. The alternatives aren’t as inspiring and simply do not have what it takes to out perform this current administration.

DELTA STATE: 3 DNKI (Vikings) cultists were arrested with a gvn by the hardworking Delta State Police Command on June 12, 2026, while moving in a tricycle in Asaba, Delta State. The DNKI cultists were identified as Ewendeze De-Grace, Eruweghene Amede, and Chukwuemeka Arinze. Non-cultists, watch as one of the so-called rugged kings cries after being caught. This is one of the bad places cultism can lead you if you join. Reject Cultism.

PRESS RELEASE DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS MOURNS THE PASSING OF RETIRED MAJOR GENERAL RABE ABUBAKAR, REAFFIRMS RESOLVE TO ERADICATE TERRORISM The Defence Headquarters regrets to announce the passing of Major General Rabe Abubakar (Retired), who tragically lost his life in captivity following his abduction. The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) convey its deepest sympathies to the Abubakar family, his colleagues and all Nigerians. Maj Gen Abubakar served the nation with distinction and held many appointments including spokesperson of various military formations as well as spokesman for the AFN as Director Defence Information. He made immense contributions to counter-insurgency operations, professional development of the AFN and numerous other commendable and outstanding impacts. His commitment to duty and to the unity of Nigeria remains a shining example for all personnel of the AFN. The Defence Headquarters withheld public comment on his abduction in deference to ongoing rescue efforts by the AFN and sister security agencies. Every operational resource was deployed in the hope of securing his safe return. This sad loss further strengthens the resolve of the AFN. We will remain resolute in the discharge of our constitutional mandate to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nigeria and to protect all citizens. In response to series of unfortunate abductions across Nigeria including that of Maj Gen Abubakar, ongoing operations have since been further intensified to bring perpetrators to justice and to dismantle all terrorist networks threatening our nation. We assure Nigerians that the Armed Forces will not relent until peace and security are restored and those responsible for terrorists activities across the nation are held to account.
