Britain has been a Christian nation for over 1,400 years. Through wars, plagues, and countless kings, Easter has always been celebrated. Yet now, Cadbury won’t even use the word ‘Easter’ on their eggs. When did celebrating British traditions become controversial?

@henrywinter A number of those players know they will be going elsewhere anyway next season. Their heart isn't in it, and it shows. Shocking it has come to this, but you could see it coming from a long time ago. You can only feel anger as a Spurs fan at how we arrived at this point in time

Tottenham Hotspur are going down unless they show some fight. Spurs fans played their part backing the team, giving the squad that powerful greet before the Forest game. A few players like Archie Gray play their part, fighting for the cause, a 20-year-old showing more commitment than some senior players. It’s not about ability or reputation now, it’s concentration and commitment. It's about fight. Forest showed it. Morgan Gibbs-White, a player Spurs were desperate to bring in for his character as well as playing calibre, highlighted what Spurs miss. “They have got that incredible talent but we showed that fight, hunger and desire more than them,” Gibbs-White told Match of the Day. That fight, hunger and desire to stay with a runner, to block a cross, to compete for a cross, for a ball, for a loose ball, to rage against the dying of the Premier League light. Djed Spence, Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso switched off for the Forest goals. Others culpable, too. Blame also lies with the recruitment for bringing in some individuals who have the flair but not the fight. It’s not new, it even pre-dates Antonio Conte’s lambasting of players and the club culture. It’s a lack of leadership. It’s an issue of mismanagement from on high, as much as poor management from the dugout. Igor Tudor is out of his depth, clearly, but he’s only part of the problem. The whole club needs a reset. A proper, independent all-areas review of the club should come in the summer. For now, it's about players waking up from this sleepwalk towards the Championship. It’ll be one of the biggest stories in the 34 years of the Premier League if Tottenham go down with their history, stadium, fanbase. Spurs were one of the “big five” clubs whose chairmen drove the original breakaway from the Football League in 1992. Damaging financially, £150m minimum. Damaging for recruitment – of players and coaches. Would Mauricio Pochettino return if Spurs were in the Championship, a world away from the Premier League, let alone Champions League? It would trigger an exodus/sale of players. The only ones who can stop the drop will not suffer long-term - beyond having the stain of relegation on their playing records. Spurs are currently 17th on 30 points, without a PL win since Dec 28. They probably need a minimum of eight points from Sunderland away, Brighton home, Wolves away, Villa away, Leeds home, Chelsea away and Everton home. Eight points from seven games. Sounds doable. But do they have the fight, hunger and desire? #THFC

@AlasdairGold As much as it will be devastating, maybe the club needs to go down to reset If we stay up it's just going to be year after year of finishing 8th-15th again. It may actually be more peaceful being out of the premier league limelight for a bit, cos currently we're a laughing stock

@ZackPolanski The Green Party has moved a million miles away from what it was... It seems now a front for a Marxist/Islamist alliance led by 'look into my eyes, not around my eyes 'pied piper who spouts fantasy island politics for the naive and gullible seeking a cult to join..

@writethewrongs2 @SandyofSuffolk The present Green Party is a long way from what it was and has been hijacked by Marxists /Islamists as a cover for their own agendas. Polanski is used as the pied piper to hook the gullible in with his ridiculous naive fantasy ideas and policies..he is beyond parody.

@SandyofSuffolk I am a Green Party member and have never known such a wonderful connectedness in a political party. The aim to do good for people and nature is incredibly strong. I am sorry your friend feels this way.

The Green Party. I have a friend who's a councillor for the Green Party. She's a wonderful hard working woman. She helped householders whose houses were flooded a couple of years ago, stayed up all night helping them pump their houses out and move furniture; helped volunteers clear the river of debris; got all new planters and bins for the village square; attends all village events; opposes all development applications on farmland and green belt; gives immediate attention to any problems people are having; got new road signage. I could go on and on. She'd actually make a great MP. She cares about her village, her people and the environment. Unfortunately, she's not standing for re-election because her party, she says, has been infiltrated by lunatics and anti-Semites. Isn't that sad. ☹️

There were 10 Americans in Battle of Britain. Not exactly a game-changer. They weren’t provided by America. They were just pro-Brit yanks. And we paid US oil companies fuel market price for that high octane fuel. No favours were involved.
Tom Bluderson III@TomBluderson3rd

America provided the high octane fuel used in the Battle of Britain. We also provided a small contingent of pilots. After the UK ran out of money (because of the costs around the Battle of Britain), the US switched to Lend-Lease in order to keep supplying the UK with food, weapons, fuel, etc...

Funny isn’t it because I’d die before I let you inject my child with a Covid or flu vaccination. Of which they have forced upon us for years. Free of charge. But a vaccine like the MenB vaccine isn’t available on the NHS and children born before 2015 won’t have had it. Meningitis kills and kills fast. Make it make sense.

@PolitlcsUK They should’ve shut down the site immediately. Instead they left them to scatter. There’s now an infection in France as a student legged it across to there. Genius. Once again, they’ve utterly forgotten how to do proper infection control.
