The Republican Party has sold its soul to money and greed, and became whores to whoever could pay them. They don’t have any core of decency, or intellectual curiosity. Money makes them jump. Every one of their presidents has been either a “crook” or intellectually challenged, or a criminal. From Nixon to Reagan to Bush to W to Trump, they have all been prostitutes to money, or low level intellectually curios asses like W. Every time the Americans voted for them, they brought the country to an economic depression. Outlaw the Republican Party. Let the progressive end of the Democratic Party become the second major party. Bring back FDR Like policies. Take back America.

It wasn’t that his proposals weren’t popular it was because nobody could work out with any satisfaction how they might be financed. He may not be popular (thanks to the rabid right wing press and other media) but Starmer is trusted.

It needs to be made clear that land value is created by the whole community. Take away the community and land value disappears. It follows that a land value tax is a just return to the community as a whole for the value it creates by its mere existence.

@UziCryptoo Failure to pay income tax won't just make you a renter, it will make you a prison inmate. Meanwhile, everyone needs land, so paying a land value tax to prevent land monopolization and land price speculation is fair. Also, land value isn't created by the owner, but by others.

I'm not a royalist, but King Charles delivered a great speech. 👏👏👏
Let's hope Trump took note and can overcome that King Charles didn't in any way praise Donald Trump, but actually concentrated on vital, wider, greater, important issues.

Excellent speech by King Charles. So good to hear the clarion cry for Ukraine, for NATO, for nature and the environment, for democracy and the checks on power. JFK mentioned more than Trump. Starmer directly quoted. Europe mentioned several times. Vance looked ill. I loved it. Loved the confidence in British and European values
