What is everybody’s strengths and weaknesses in the different areas of design?

@SuMajestadJose So true. It doesn't matter that your whole team sees your value & hard work if your manager can't see it too OR cannot "sell" the same belief to higher-ups. We gotta help our manager and ourselves out, and publicly campaign/document our ideas, process improvements, etc.

One piece of advice I wish I had earlier in my career: doing an amazing job is not enough to guarantee a well deserved promotion. Learning to play the bureaucratic game (instead of avoiding it) and marketing yourself are a must.

@christinemaggi Same, I can't listen to anything while I work. But I keep my headphones on most of the day. Mainly for the noise cancelling. Podcast and music are for walks 🐕🚶‍♀️🌳

To those of y'all who can actively listen to a podcast while doing AANYYTHING productive at work: ... how? I spend my days in silence bc my brain cannot handle trying to do both 🥲

@tolu_xyz I suffer from the opposite phenomenon 😂 I never want to face that beast. But the times I do, it's because I feel like tinkering and exercising my creative or tech muscles, because maybe work is feeling bleh.

I feel this even tho I haven't dealt with debt. Buying a home never felt achievable until I moved to Sweden. Now I have a condo and I pinch myself every time I look out the window. (Video description in thread)
