Day 4 of learning Frontend (React + Tailwind). Started early today around 3am and continued diving deeper into React fundamentals: state, conditional rendering, and event handling. I practiced click events and conditional UI updates by building small exercises like a counter and a light switch that renders different UI states based on whether the ON or OFF button is clicked. To wrap up this foundational phase, I’ll spend tomorrow building an image carousel, a cat carousel, and a landing page for more hands-on practice. Starting next week, I’ll return to the full-stack eCommerce project I paused so I could revisit and strengthen my React fundamentals. I also have a list of other projects lined up as I work towards avoiding the tutorial loop and learning by building.

What I got to work on today as an independent contractor : 1. Built out the full flow for session specialization of a project I’m working on. A user type can now select multiple specialization areas, and sessions are intelligently filtered to match them. 2. Implemented a task system: • Admins can create tasks • Users can fetch & update tasks • Added endpoints for pending tasks, unfinished goals nearing deadlines, and assignment submissions. 3. Progressed key product flows: • Almost done with all core features (remaining: admin endpoint + social auth integrations Google, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) • Auto welcome message + revenue flow for 1:1 sessions queued next. 4. Improved developer experience: • Started updating Swagger docs with accurate endpoint responses • Added a public resource module (fetch all, single resource, tracking) • Updated waitlist → signup flow Stacking small wins daily. Call for help. My mum was hit with a stroke in may 2024. Since then our lives haven't remained the same. My family have spent all our savings yet her condition hasn't changed. She has severe BP challenge, she has diabetes. Which has gone on to take a toll on her kidneys.
