@YujinnieHa @NYCMayor You do know the billionaires don’t have billions of dollars in a checking account. It’s usually assets. Start taxing assets or unrealized gain and you will have nobody left to pay your taxes.
English

@NYCMayor But muh poor billionaires, how would they ever afford it!

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink?
Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color.
Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.”
SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most!
Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules.
Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope.
Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

@NikTSharma8 @ianbremmer We are being restrained and not just carpet bombing the country. We care about the Iranian people more than your government
English

@ianbremmer "strongest military" that couldn't reopen the strait. What's the point of having a blue water Navy when u can't secure freedom of seas? US is a paper tiger which has since WW2 only fought against 3rd world poor n weak nations. There's a reason why it chooses them and not others.
English

@Mightyjuge @ianbremmer You better hope we are powerful since we protect you…unless you were counting on the UK?
English

@ianbremmer The US believing that it is the most powerfully, strong and unstoppable force ever appears to be its greatest weakness.

@BBCNews There was a ceasefire, which included Lebanon, and Israel broke it in order to continue it's war and killing of the people in the Middle East.

@SkyNews @YvetteCooperMP Your country is attacked and militarily you could never defeat them, what do you do? Anything you can and every country would do the same. By blocking the straights they gave themselves an advantage. This woman is the reason Britain is a laughing stock.
English

Foreign sec @YvetteCooperMP tells Sky News she is "deeply troubled" by the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and wants the ceasefire to be extended to the country.
She adds that "it is crucial that Iran is not allowed to introduce tolls on the Strait of Hormuz."
English

@stevenkelly6 @SkyNews @YvetteCooperMP We could bomb the crap out of the country but we dont because of civilians
English

@SkyNews @YvetteCooperMP Iran has demonstrated that it can do what it wants in the Straits. The world's largest military is currently unable to open the straits.
English

@SkyNews @YvetteCooperMP So what are you going to do about it? Just watch the US take care of it?
