It is reported that a newborn baby girl was found abandoned in the bush near Musina, far north near the Zimbabwe border, hidden under grass and cardboard at a truck stop.
Discovered by farm workers who saw a suspicious woman who then fled. The baby was taken to Musina Hospital, assessed as healthy, and the police are investigating with no trace of the mother.

Mkhwanazi has confirmed he was on the scene where officers allegedly stole precious stones.
He says he arrived at the home in the afternoon and remained in the car - as pictured below.
The two officers reporting to Mkhwanazi allegedly stole semi-precious stones worth R14 million.
Mkhwanazi adds that in the car with him were an EMPD officer and Gauteng Traffic deputy chief Gerald Maseko.

[BREAKING NEWS] Judicial Service Commission Has Recommended Ledwaba—Accused of Receiving R2.5m Bribe to Grant Bail to Katiso Molefe—as Judge President of Gauteng High Court
The Judicial Service Commission has resolved to recommend Deputy Judge President A P Ledwaba for the position of Judge President of the Gauteng Division of the High Court. Following deliberations after interviews held during its April 2026 session, the JSC selected him as the sole candidate for the vacancy.
Ledwaba has served as Deputy Judge President since 2013 and has been acting in the Judge President role. The position became vacant after Dunstan Mlambo was elevated to Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court in 2025. Ledwaba was first appointed as a judge in November 2005 and has acted on the Supreme Court of Appeal and Constitutional Court.
The Gauteng Division covers Pretoria and Johannesburg and handles the busiest caseload in South Africa. In June 2025, specifically on 27 June, Ledwaba granted alleged Big Five Cartel Member Katiso “KT” Molefe R100,000 bail in the Pretoria High Court after the initial application was denied by the Vereeniging Magistrates Court; allegations later surfaced at the Madlanga Commission in October 2025 that R2.5 million was set aside to influence the decision, which Ledwaba has strongly denied.
The recommendation now goes to the President for formal appointment. This marks a key leadership change for the division amid ongoing scrutiny of the allegations.
