12 years on from Vettel winning in a Toro Rosso in what was my favourite sporting moment of all time and made me fall in love with the sport, Pierre Gasly does it for the same team, at the same track, from fucking nowhere I'm not sure it tops '08, but it's damn close #ItalianGP

@LAT3BRAKING @F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE They had a car with 40 more horsepower than any other (apart from the like, 5 races in 18/19) from 2014 until 2021. If you can't put more than 5 wins in a row in that time when your teammate (who retired after 3 years of it) did 7, you're not winning 22/22 ever.

@someRobguyidk @F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE McLaren weren’t the fastest lol and that’s not my point, it’s dominance. The Mercedes from 2018-2020 are the most drivable cars ever it’s not the same thing as the 2023 red bull where Perez wasn’t comfortable

@LAT3BRAKING @F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE Mclaren had the fastest car in 2012, too. Button has come out and said as much. He had a teammate far out of his depth in 2017-2020 and quite arguably the most dominant F1 car of all time in that period and still never won more than 5 in a row.

@someRobguyidk @F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE If Lewis had tiptop car balance and a teammate far out of his depth it’s possible he could win as many as max did. He went like 18-1 vs Jenson in 2012. Only time he lost on merit was Australia

@LAT3BRAKING @F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE "The title was done halfway through so he gave up" very much proves my point here, he just decides to not show up sometimes and you think he could win 22/22😂

@someRobguyidk @F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE Very cute sentiment but the title was done halfway through and Lewis literally had issues in china Bahrain and Russia. The only meaningful win there is Australia lol

@F1Clapped @ApexToAsphaltIE 2014-2016 he had Rosberg and didn’t have 23 races. The 2019 car just wasn’t close to being as dominant as the 2923 red bull and 2020 he had Covid. Stop being disingenuous for once in your life

@FastNLoud44 2017 and 2018 lol Had 40 horsepower more for all of 2017 and still needed reliability and Seb turning his brain off in Singapore to win it In 2018 Ferrari weren't even SECOND fastest after the summer break Grow up lol

@Kh1sq_ @SteadyHearn @ffsmo__ He gained 10 seconds on the leaders in Monza in a car Merc said live was at least 2s a lap quicker than any other but immediately gave up as soon as the penalty was applied in Russia despite only being ~7 seconds back after the stops. You're arguing my point for me.

@someRobguyidk @SteadyHearn @ffsmo__ A bit misleading. At italy, he caught bottas and the leaders by 10 seconds, despite overtaking 10 cars in 24 laps. Bottas could only clear 2 saubers in the dirty air. At russia, after getting the penalty hamilton knew his race was over - his pace isnt representative.

@Kh1sq_ @SteadyHearn @ffsmo__ I mean for Italy yeah fair enough, but he also couldn't pass the traffic. In Russia he lost enough time to Bottas that he would've lost the race regardless of the penalty. He wouldn't even have finished 2nd on raw pace that day.

@someRobguyidk @SteadyHearn @ffsmo__ Well if thats the case, dont take braindead stances about how 'the most dominant car couldnt win every race'. It obviously wasnt due to hamilton being 'slower' or 'overrated', as many try to insinuate when they compare to max 2023.

@SteadyHearn @ffsmo__ Who cares? 😂 "oh we shouldn't punish him since the team told him to do it" isn't how it works. It's not like he got stupid undeserved penalties for racing incidents, he blatantly broke the clearly defined rules
