@temp2spec @zenbrainest I wont presume to speak on behalf of Bryan, but I understood it as measurements that work on different principles Eg In situ staining for an Ion channel transcript in a cell type and then measuring said ion channels current from that cell type, would be orthogonal

As a rule I don’t trust any result—at least initially—especially from my own lab. We try to get multiple orthogonal data sets,when we can. This may be idiosyncratic to my area of research 🧐

Women get the lion's share of childcare and are underrepresented. Childcare and flexible parental leave is the way to fix this.
