If you can ask your mortal Pastors and friends to pray for you, why are you offended when Catholics asks the Saints in Heaven to pray for them? Does your Bible not tell you that anyone who dies in Christ lives? The Saints in Heaven are way more alive than your most powerful pastors combined on earth.

@traceitback @UcheMaryOkoli It's not that we don't think they have been judged. We have no way of knowing BUT we pray God has had mercy & that our loved ones are either in Purgatory or Heaven. Eg. since my Dad's death, I pray God releases him from Purgatory ASAP into Heaven b/c once there he can pray for me

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli why not just go to God in Jesus's name like he taught us instead of hoping your dad is in heaven/ can pray for you ...how that make any sense is beyond me sorry ...not scriptural at all & totally diminishes Jesus's sacrifice having a 2nd chance or others can pray us into heaven

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli I set before you (eternal ) life and (eternal) death, blessings or cursing YOU choose. No one can pray us into heaven or overturn the decisions we make here on earth ....you have until the last seconds before you die to accept Jesus as Lord & Savior, once you are dead to late

@traceitback @UcheMaryOkoli We VERY much believe we are called to interact with our loved ones, the saints, those in Purgatory...ALL the time. We are one family. We support them (by praying FOR those in Purgatory), they support us (they saints in Heaven.) It's beautiful knowing we don't 'go it alone.'

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli We never go alone when we have Jesus & the Holy Spirit .....and how do you know for sure your family is in heaven ...did God have judgement day where he separated the goats from his sheep ? No he sure has not ...as for purgatory that just diminishes Jesus's sacrifice ....

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli he focus of the verse is not to establish a new ritual, but to use a controversial or, at least, unusual practice of the time to defend the central Christian doctrine of the resurrection ,...this is about the resurrection NOT baptism of the dead ..wow it does not even make sense

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli this is probably why this was not included in the scriptures ....as if we can pray someone into salvation ...imagine we can believe what we want here on earth cause you know others after we die will just ask for forgiveness for us and poof we will be saved, how silly

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli and again, this does NOT teach us to pray to saints or those who have passed on ..Abraham was justified by FAITH he was not baptized nor were anyone before Jesus/John the Baptist. Faith in Jesus and what he did for us happens when we are ALIVE, once we pass it is to late

WHAT good would that do ...that is like someone who is forced to be baptized when they do not know exactly what they are doing or just going along with it ...would that be a true baptism, NO

@vogs_l @UcheMaryOkoli Jesus said the ONLY mediator between us and God was him, he taught us to pray to God in HIS name. WHY would you not just do what he taught instead try to find scripture which justifies praying to Mary, having statues of her/saints in your churches which you bow down to and pray

@traceitback @Oluwadaniel_0 I do believe Daniel is an indoctrinated Jehovah's Witness. That's an egg I've never been able to crack. Their overlords are very effective. I pray for those people, who care more for works and nabs opinion, than anything God has to say about it. It's a terrible organization.
