BREAKING INSIDER TRADING DOWN 600% UNDER TRUMP ADMIN
Mike Selig@ChairmanSelig

I’ve been crystal clear: anyone who engages in insider trading in any of our markets will face the full force of the law. Today, the @CFTC took parallel action with @SDNYnews to charge an individual with insider trading involving event contracts. The @CFTC won’t tolerate insider trading in our markets, and our Division of Enforcement will continue to vigilantly police our markets for any illegal actions. Read more ⬇️ cftc.gov/PressRoom/Pres…

i have never been a fan of airbnb - a lot of hidden fees, including high cleaning fees. which peasant goes on holiday and wants to clean the house after - a lot of coordination with a random person before arrival vs just pulling up to the hotel - these things are not run professionally but by side hustle guys with mediocre iq (that's why they do airbnb), so it's often not clean - it's not beautiful. all of the furniture, sheets, utensils, etc are low quality due to adverse selection. owners don't want to invest bc people don't treat their stuff nicely i tried airbnbs a couple of times but it's definitely not for me. there really only are two advantages: - it's cheaper - you have a large living room for all friends to chill in i guess airbnb is ok if you are travelling with a larger group, but other than that it's hotel any day of the week for me
John & Margaret@ukboomers

I had to charge £200 for extra cleaning on our Cornwall Airbnb this week. £400 a night and look what they did. Wine rings on the slate. Cups everywhere. A candle burnt to nothing. In our day you left a place better than you found it. Now they walk away like it's a hotel.

3/ Zug + Freienbach & Pfäffikon, Schwyz 🇨🇭 30 min from Zug. 25 min from Zurich. Named the best place to live in Switzerland in 2025. Personal income tax: 20.02% in Freienbach, among the lowest municipalities in the country. Wealth tax: 0.11% vs 0.47% in Zurich. That's a 4x difference. Average income in Freienbach: CHF 220,810. Lakeside on upper Lake Zurich. Polished suburban life, not a village, not a city. Farmers market, sailing, kids cycling along the shore. 10 kindergartens and 7 primary schools in Freienbach alone. Zurich International School 15 min away. Wollerau next door is where Federer, Räikkönen, Vettel, and Massa all settled. There's a reason... Saturday: market, kids on the lake, dinner in Zurich 25 min away. Downsides: it's a suburb. Social life is structured, not spontaneous. Housing demand fierce. The vibe is prosperous and polished. The lowest personal taxes in Switzerland with genuine lakeside life and both Zurich and Zug within 30 min. That's the math.

I've lived in Switzerland. I've incorporated there. I've walked the lakeside in Zug at 8pm wondering where everyone went. 250 millionaires a month are moving to Switzerland. Most end up in Zurich or Geneva. For many it works. But not for all. I asked friends living there, compared it with the data and assembled this guide. I came to the conclusion there are two approaches to Switzerland for most of us. A practical and unfiltered Swissmaxing thread 🇨🇭 🧵

@redhairshanks86 @0xNeptun Beautifull area... amazing views. But tax wise its a big difference from pfäffikon/freienbach for example. Super expensive to buy a flat but imo its worth it long term to stay in schwyz part of lake zurich.

@redhairshanks86 @0xNeptun I meant to say kanton schwyz. The part on lake zurich is like 20mins from zurich city and very peacefull. I would not live in the actual 'city' schwyz

Only real benefit from zurich compared to schwyz is its closer to the airport or if you want to live in an actual city. Other than that schwyz has same lake, less people, closer to the alps and big tax benefits. Its literally the best place overall in switzerland imho. Fully agree on the french speaking part lol

@DeanEigenmann Imagine ordering food at 10pm and calling it culture. Swiss culture is buying your local organic food from market or farmer directly and cooking it yourself. If you want 24h fooddelivery stay in the desert!
