Every space I walk into on this timeline, I feel like the least qualified person in the room. Builders talking subnet architecture like it's breakfast conversation. Traders reading charts I still need three tabs open to understand. People who've been in this since 2017 while I'm still learning what half these acronyms mean. I could sit back and wait until I "know enough" to show up. Most people do that. They wait for a permission slip that never comes. I'd rather be the person asking the question everyone else is too embarrassed to ask. I'd rather show up underprepared and leave enlightened than stay comfortable and leave the same person I walked in as. Qualification is a myth built by people who forgot they were once beginners too. You don't earn your seat by waiting. You earn it by sitting down anyway. Still building. Still behind. Still not leaving.

Thirty years later he was still doing it, and this time a billionaire almost handed him $440 million. – Anthony Gignac started posing as royalty at age 12, convincing a Mercedes salesman he was the son of a Saudi prince to get a test drive. - He was arrested 11 times over the following decades for schemes built on impersonating Saudi or Middle Eastern royalty. - In 1991, at 21, he racked up nearly $3,500 in hotel bills and $7,500 in limo charges, telling staff his royal family would cover it. The LA Times called him “Prince of Fraud.” - He once convinced American Express to issue a platinum card with a $200 million credit limit under the real prince’s name. - By 2015 he’d upgraded from scamming hotels to scamming investors, using a fake firm to sell stakes in businesses that didn’t exist. - In 2017 he went after his biggest mark yet: a $440 million stake in Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel. - The billionaire owner believed him at first , flying him on his private jet, buying him over $50,000 in jewelry. - He got suspicious only after watching the supposedly devout Muslim “prince” order pork at dinner. - Investigators seized $450,000 in jewelry and $80,000 cash from him at arrest. - He’d defrauded investors of more than $8 million in total. - He was sentenced to 224 months, over 18 years in federal prison. - A court later ordered him to pay back $7 million to his victims. A 12 year old lying about his dad got him a test drive. A 47 year old telling the same lie almost got him half a billion dollars.
